Charming Courtyard Cottage in the heart of Kendal

Welcome to Arthurs Cottage, a beautifully presented 200-year-old cottage set in a prime location, a perfect base to explore all that Kendal and the Lake District National Park has to offer. Only a short stroll to the town centre, with a fantastic choice of pubs, cafes, takeaways and eateries. A welcoming place to stay, a vaulted ceiling creates a lovely light and airy feel, guests love how homely, comfortable, convenient and well-appointed it is. Free WiFi. Parking. Fury friends welcome. The space The cottage has a beautiful open plan living and dining area, recently installed kitchen with dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave and washing machine. Two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with a double size bed. The bathroom has a modern 3 piece suite with a P shaped bath and overhead raindrop shower. You will be warm and cosy, with the very effective gas central heating and luxury bed throws. Towels and bed linen are provided. There is a smart TV, free WiFi, iron and ironing board, drying rack and hair dryer. One well behaved dog is welcome, please bring your dog's bed, towels and any other doggy related items necessary to make their holiday enjoyable too! A South Lakes parking permit is provided throughout your stay which can be used in the south lakes area, perfect for making your Lakeland experience a little easier, the nearest car park only a minutes’ walk to the cottage. Guest access The cottage is a first floor apartment with gated access and is reached via an external staircase and exclusive balcony, which gives views over a private shared yard. Other things to note I look forward to making your experience at Arthurs Cottage as memorable as possible. So I would like to share my reviews with you. 09.05.22 ''Lovely stay at Arthur's Cottage Great to be Leeanne's first guests and excellent communication with Leeanne throughout. The cottage had everything we needed, a real home from home. Clean and contemporary with a cosy feel. Good wifi connection and smart tv if you feel like binge watching after a hard days hiking. The cottage is in an ideal location in the centre of Kendal with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking permit given so we could park for free in the car park close by. Coffee shop right next to the front gate (Michelle's place was lovely), loads of wine in front of the back gate (Majestic Wines), parking lot 1 min walk, excellent restaurants within a 4 min walking radius and a Tesco Express close by. We stayed in Arnside last year and decided to try Kendal this year. It is perfect as you get to explore more towns and are within a 30 min drive to the lake to take the cruise. Easy parking facilities nearby with parking permit that can be used in other South Lakes Council car parks: very handy indeed. 5* Jason 23.05.22 We had a wonderful stay - clean and comfortable flat, in a very handy location for local amenities and countryside walks. Parking was close and plenty of spaces. The host was really thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed. 5* Eleanor 30.05.22 We really enjoyed our very comfortable stay at your cottage let. It was surprisingly well equipped with all we needed for a weekend stay and more. We used the dishwasher everyday and washing machine before going home. The lounge/dining room was very comfortable. The Bedrooms had very comfortable beds (which is the most important thing to us!) and cosy bedding. The shower was good and a very clean modern bathroom, also glad to have the heated towel rail to dry off through out the day. Having the guaranteed parking space, including the further free car parking in the area was a real bonus. Overall we would most certainly stay again when we visit our friends and the area. They came and had a look and were very impressed and said they will recommend it to friends who want to stay in the area when visiting them. Many thanks. Perfect location in the heart of Kendal, just a few minutes way from the town centre, and easy enough to get out onto the open road towards the Lakes. Clean and well equipped, the kitchen in particular was perfect for some self-catering days. Powerful shower very welcome after days where we were hiking.
