Just 3 minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, The Hiatus House is a spacious 4-bedroom desert retreat with a hot tub, fire pit, hammocks, and sweeping city and mountain views. The backyard is the real MVP—panoramic views and what many call the best sunset in all of 29 Palms. Soak in the hot tub, sway in the hammocks, or gather around the fire pit as the sky fills with stars. Perfect for groups looking to relax, explore, and unplug. Come for the views. Stay for the vibes. ✨ The space This home is a spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that is relaxing, tastefully decorated, clean and full of amenities. Our space works really well for friend groups, and families love it too. No matter the reason for your visit, we sincerely hope you will experience your own perfect hiatus. I BEDROOMS l Bedroom 1 - King bed with attached bathroom + patio access! Bedroom 2 - Queen bed with work desk & chair Bedroom 3 - Queen bed (perfect for more privacy as it’s located apart from the other 3 bedrooms) Bedroom 4 - 2 Twin beds Each bedroom is equipped with memory foam green tea infused mattresses, ceiling fans, dimming lights and room darkening or blackout curtains. Additionally, there are bedside tables and bedside lighting in each room. With 4 bedrooms, our home typically sleeps 8, but can accommodate up to 10 guests. A double high queen inflatable mattress, which sleeps 2 people, is available with advanced request for a reservation of 9-10 guests. Traveling with kids? Great! Our home is family friendly with a Pack ‘n Play, 2 twin beds, kid friendly dishes, a baby bathtub, children’s toys and books, board games, Disney+ and a pool alarm available upon request! I BATHROOMS I The attached bathroom in the primary bedroom has a stand up shower, large garden bathtub, double vanity, and private toilet room. There is a second bathroom in the hallway with a bathtub / shower combo and double vanity. Towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are also provided. I KITCHEN I The kitchen is stocked with the essentials and ready for a delicious meal prep! Some included items are dishes, utensils, mixing bowls, cutting boards, pots & pans, blender, compact crock pot, 14 quart roasting oven, spice rack, salt & pepper and cooking oil. Additionally, there is Keurig coffee maker and compact drip coffee maker, with starter coffee, sugar and creamer. We have also included a tea kettle and assorted teas. Enjoy your meal or coffee around the large dining table, which seats 8 and features bright windows and stunning mountain views. I LIVING ROOM I Cozy seating and views of the mountains through the sliding glass doors! There is a 55” ROKU TV located in the living room, equipped with Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu and ESPN+. (Additional apps can be signed into via your personal account). The home is equipped with hi-speed wifi. We’ve also included several board games, playing cards and dominoes in the hallway closet for you to enjoy! —Please note, the indoor fireplace is decorative is NOT intended for use. This is for guest safety. Please do not attempt to start a fire in the fireplace. There is an outdoor propane fire pit for guest use! I BACKYARD I The sliding doors in the living room lead out to the perfect backyard hangout. We can’t wait for you to see the twinkling city lights, colorful sunset, mountain views and the breathtaking stars in the sky! You’ll find the hot tub right under the stars, a covered seating area, outdoor TV, outdoor dining table, firepit, hammocks and a stock tank (cowboy) pool. The pool is open seasonally from mid April - October. The backyard is fully-fenced, and we recently upgraded the back fence to offer unobstructed desert/mountain views! We allow guests to bring one registered dog per reservation (small/medium breeds). The dog must be added to the reservation with the pet fee paid at the time of booking. (Sorry, no cats!) The guest booking the reservation must also agree to our pet rules prior to arrival. If you have more than one pup, send us a message so we can determine if accommodations are possible. The home is equipped with central air and heating, and a Nest thermostat. There is no washer/dryer available for guest use in the home at this time. We can provide info for laundromats if needed! Other things to note The city of Twentynine Palms enforces quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors at all times by enjoying the space quietly, especially during the quiet hours (no loud noise, or music which can be heard by neighbors). While our home is ideal for friends and families to enjoy together, no parties or large gatherings are allowed. No unauthorized guests are permitted on the property.
