Our cabin is centrally located with easy access to several hiking and biking trails. There’s even a secret swimming hole just down the street, with a shallow beach safe for little kids. Within a few minutes, you can be relaxing on the Lake and Beaches in the surrounding areas, or checking out Lake Cruises, Golfing and other Outdoor Adventures around South Lake Tahoe. The well equipped eat-in kitchen has all the amenities of home, including a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, waffle maker, crock pot, toaster, plus cookware and dishes, so you can whip up your best recipes for the family. Sorry no cats... many of our guests have cat allergies. Our HUGE fully-fenced backyard is truly a puppy paradise! Guests have full access of the house including the fully-fenced backyard. The cabin utilizes a keyless access pad. Each guest is assigned a unique code, so guests can arrive anytime after the designated check-in period. We have a local property manager on-call for immediate assistance. This Genoa Ave. Gem is located in the Meadow Heights neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe, defined by towering pines and views of Heavenly Mountain. Set in the Sierra Nevadas, South Lake Tahoe is at an altitude of about 6,237 feet. The area is located right between Hwy 50 and Pioneer Trail. The best way to get around Lake Tahoe is by car. Because there are more than 70 miles of shoreline at just the lake alone, you'll find that having your own set of wheels will be most convenient. In the summertime (mid-June through Labor Day), try the Nifty 50 Trolley for a narrated tour around South Lake Tahoe. Search “Nifty 50 Trolley” for routes and schedules. During the ski season, Heavenly Resort offers FREE fixed route shuttle service. Search “BlueGo” for routes and schedules. BlueGo is the local public transportation system with more than 30 internet kiosks around South Lake Tahoe. Of course, you can also easily hail an Uber, Lyft or taxi from your phone! The dining table has 2 extra leaves stored in the closet under the stairs and can expand to accommodate up to 12 guests. We have a wood burning fireplace on the second floor. Please only use Duraflame Logs (or the like) instead of wood to minimize smoke and soot. We use the upstairs closet to store miscellaneous items (like holiday decor, extra pillows, and comforters).
