East Wing - Mendip retreat with spa complex

East Wing is a beautifully converted former stable, nestled in picturesque Somerset countryside, overlooking the stunning Mendip foothills in the Chew Valley. It offers guests a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with extensive grounds and access to a heated swimming pool with a hot tub, steam room & changing rooms. The space East Wing provides ground floor accommodation for six plus two* over three beautiful en suite bedrooms, with a sofa bed for two more guests (*extra fee) in the spacious living area, if required. It is located adjacent to Old Stables (sleeps eight plus three) in ten acres of beautiful grounds. Originally built in 1800 as part of the Belluton Grange estate, the grounds retain many Georgian features, including a well and a rare Georgian Horse Wash, utilising a natural spring. The spacious sitting/dining room has ceiling-to-floor windows, a large sofa bed, and a magnificent fireplace with a cosy wood burner. There is an HDTV with a Wii, Android TV box and a Blu-Ray player. A bank of skylights stream natural light into the room making it nice and bright. Just off the living room, there is a modern kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, built-in microwave, and a slimline dishwasher. Opposite the front door and entrance hall is Wisteria, a super king/twin bedroom with a TV and en suite walk-in shower. Just off the living room are two further en suite bedrooms: Willow has a super king bed (can convert to twins), TV and en suite bathroom with a freestanding slipper bath and walk-in shower; Magnolia, has a comfortable 5’ bed, TV, and en suite with bath and overhead shower. Discover the purpose built swimming pool complex housing a ten-metre pool hot tub, changing rooms and steam cubicle. Shared with guests at Old Stables, the amenities are bookable for fully exclusive use in advance of your stay. There is an exclusive private patio with charcoal barbecue for guests staying at East Wing at the foot of the driveway. The garden itself is shared with guests staying at Old Stables and the owners. We can also offer massages, aromatherapy treatments and personal trainer assessment which can be arranged by yourselves at an extra charge. Guests have access to a laundry room (shared with Old Stables) containing two washing machines, tumble dryers and an additional dishwasher in case of parties! Large 4k Samsung TV with Blu-ray player, Android TV box & Wii in the living room and TV in all three bedrooms WiFi internet access* A highchair is available on request Large selection of board games Large 6-seater outdoor teak table with chairs and charcoal barbecue SWIMMING POOL COMPLEX The purpose built swimming pool complex houses a ten-metre swimming pool with a 'Fluvo jet' to exercise against, a hot tub which seats 5 people (at a squeeze) a shower and steam cubicle, robes, slippers, spa towels and hair dryer. The temperature of the pool is 88 °F / 31 ° C and the temperature of the hot tub is 101 ° F / 38 ° C. Bring your own CDs, use those provided, or listen to the radio or Bluetooth; feel free to just sit in the pool room to read, relax or meditate. Swimming Pool Spa Complex - Pool, Hot Tub & Steam Room It is essential that you make initial daily booking slots at the swimming pool spa complex to secure exclusive use, so that only your group will use the amenities. The pool is only used either by yourselves, or the adjoining property, however, due to popular demand, slots are limited, so prior to check-in, you can book two slots per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon at 8am to 10am, 10:30am to 12:30pm, 1pm to 3pm, or 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Furthermore, you can book up to three free 6 - 8 pm slots weekly. After you arrived at the property and settled in,, you can book an additional free slot per morning & afternoon. There are towels, however we do recommend that you bring your own swimming cossies!! If you do not own one, you can purchase one in any of the shopping centres in the surrounding cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells. You are welcome to bring your own wine to the spa or purchase on site. Guest access You will have the whole cottage to yourselves. Beds will be made up with linen and towels are provided. The laundry room is shared with Old Stables and each cottage has locked entry. There is a private patio with charcoal BBQ at the foot of the driveway. The Garden is shared with Old Stables, owners family & friends. The pool complex is reservable for exclusive use.
