The space Built in 2008, with rock gardens, a koi-fish pond with 2 waterfalls surrounded by bamboos and ferns, this 2-story craftsman house is a labor of love and a work of art. Craftsmanship details are featured outside and inside the house. Front yard has mature liquid ambers and curvy Korean grass. The house was built with environmental friendliness in mind. Heating is by hot water under hickory hard-wood floor throughout the house. Insulation is by cotton (not fiber glass). Water from faucets is filtered by whole-house water filtering system. Paint and stain are eco-friendly. Floors of ALL bathrooms are made with Mexican pebble to massage the feet. One could sit on a deck overlooking the pond to surf the Internet, or meditate. The house is located on a quiet, residential, cul-de-sac street, and is voted by the city inspectors as one of the best six houses in Culver City. Walking distance to Culver and Sony Studios, Kirk Douglas Theatre, and Culver City downtown restaurant row and movie theaters. Driving distance with moderate traffic: 10 minutes to Venice Beach, 15 minutes to Santa Monica beach/Pier, USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount university, LAX, Beverly Hills. Bus lines are available nearby. Baldwin hills are a 15 minute walk for hiking for the view of the Los Angeles basin. Parking is available on streets.
