Cheerful Travel Lovers Home (walkable to downtown)

Just renovated, relax close to downtown at the two-bedroom home for travel lovers. The space This is a newly renovated 2 bedroom home, walking distance (15-20 min) to downtown. We love to travel and have decorated the home with many items from our travels to Africa and Latin America. We also value a community of sharing. Feel free to take a book from our shelf if you need one or leave a book as well! We love dogs and welcome them! We just ask them not to be on any of the furniture or the beds as dog hair is really hard for our cleaners to get out. Don’t worry about packing your dog bowls—we have two in the home if you need them. The front yard is fully fenced and the street is very quiet. Enjoy the orange and lemon trees in the front yard if they’re in season and feel free to hang out in the front patio area for a meal or drink. The living room is comfortable and spacious and opens to the dining room and kitchen. Enjoy the large TV with Netflix on the comfortable sofa. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has an oven, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. Down the hall, to the left of the living room you’ll find a newly renovated bathroom between the two bedrooms. Each bedroom has a distinct flavor—one bedroom is decorated with items from our travels in African countries with wall hangings from Ghana, Morocco and Uganda, and a rug from Morocco. The other bedroom is Latin American with decorations from Ecuador, Mexico and Guatemala. One bedroom has a full-size bed and the other queen. The mattresses are good quality and comfortable. We give you plenty of extra blankets and towels if you need it. There’s also ample closet space. The bathroom comes equipped with the basics: shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer. This is a duplex—so it’s attached to a second unit in the back. It means you share a few walls and may hear noise between the walls. But there is complete privacy between the units. They have separate yards and separate entrances. Fellow pet lovers: we ask you to please follow our pet rules (no pets on furniture and clean up after your pet in the yard). So far not everyone has been been following our pet rules and we are considering not allowing dogs anymore, which we really don't want to do. So please don’t make it suck for everyone else with a dog! We also have some new rules in place for dog owners because of previous bad experiences. By booking, you are agreeing to these terms: 1. No dogs are allowed on the beds or couch. If we find dog hair on either, you will be responsible for the cost of professionally cleaning the couch and replacing blankets, sheets or whatever has dog hair. 2. If there is excessive dog hair or a bad dog smell, it will incur extra cleaning fees, including for the rug. 3. All dog poop must be cleaned up in yard. Any that is not incurs extra cleaning fees. Extra cleaning fees can result in a cleaning charge of up to $1000 if the couch and rugs need professional cleaning and bedding needs to be replaced. Extra charges: Pet charges: see above Not following check out instructions and leaving house filthy: $50 in extra cleaning fees if our cleaner has to stay extra time to clean. Filthy = leaving your garbage around the house, not cleaning up spills on the floor, leaving a sink full of dirty dishes, staining the carpet because of dirty shoes, etc. Guest access This is a duplex home. You have access to just the front yard. There is a private washer/dryer in the home. Other things to note This is a duplex- the back is a separate unit with separate unit and entrance.
