This is a great place for a contact-less vacation, sanitized with Tier 2 cleaning solutions. Our cozy farmhouse sits on 40 hilltop acres near Wayne National Forest on SR 278 SW about 5 miles from Nelsonville, 8 from Lake Hope SP, 17 from Hocking Hills SP and 17 miles from OU. 2 families can be super comfortable in our 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed each, plus 1 bedroom with a bunk and 2 twin beds. Plenty of outdoor space for play and exploration. An eclectic mix of furnishings makes our 6 room house feel cozy and fun. First floor offers a queen bedroom, a bathroom (shower only), living room and huge eat-in kitchen. Upstairs consists of two bedrooms. Two gas heaters on the first floor provide radiant heat to upstairs, and four window air conditioners provide cool air in the summer. A screened porch and an open porch provide even more space for eating, playing & hanging out. Cook outdoors on an open fire or gas grill. Take a hike through the woods. The entire house, yard, fields and woods are available for guests to use on foot (vehicles must stay on gravel). A ramp to the back porch guarantees wheelchair access. The first floor bedroom and bathroom ensure that mobility-challenged guests will feel comfortable in the space. Co-host lives next door and is always available to help. You also will see our caretakers doing landscaping or caring for ponies. This is a great place to enjoy country quiet, beautiful views and a dark night sky. With state parks and a national forest nearby there is plenty of nature to enjoy. The only neighbors you'll see are the host and caretaker of our house, plus guests at a rental across the road. There are horses and ponies in our fields which you may pet or feed with permission from the owner. There is plenty of parking on the gravel driveway for multiple cars. Nearest public transport is the "Go Bus" (URL HIDDEN) If you come into Nelsonville on the Go Bus let us know and we'll pick you up. Sometimes there are mice indoors. You are not permitted to go into the cellar of the house or the sheds around the property.
