Rainier, with a sports shop (owned by world-renowned climbers), Espresso shop (ice cream), artists' shops, two small grocery stores, gas station, as well as, several highly enjoyable restaurants (moderately priced). We are only 6 miles from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park and all that it has to offer!! We are only about 1 and 1/2 hours from Seattle; yet, we are in a country-setting by Mt. Rainier. We don't have a transit system in our area, so automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles are needed...If someone is attending a climbing program, in Ashford, then there are shuttles from the Airport, to their program - just not for transportation around the area or into the Park. This is about $250 for round-trip. Please ask for any more information. By popular request, we offer complimentary, self-service breakfast items in the kitchenette (on the counter and in the Guest’s refrigerator). Guests seem to like this style, as they awaken at such different times (some people arise early to hike and other people sleep in a bit, especially after a flight). The breakfast items generally consists of bagels, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, cereal, juice, condiments (peanut butter cups, jam, cream cheese), coffee, tea, cocoa, creamers and sugars... We are so honored to have such wonderful guests. So, at the same time, you will have the opportunity to talk with one another or remain more private (totally up to you). We do find that guests are so respectful of one another and somehow it always works so well...
