The space This entire home (built over 50 years ago) has been artfully updated, decorated and furnished throughout. You'll appreciate the character of an old home in features like the hardwood floor and plaster archways and ceiling details but can also enjoy modern amenities like a surround sound home theater, audiophile bluetooth speakers, adjustable light dimmers, USB charger outlets in each room and much more. There are so many places in our home to slip away and relax - enjoy your streaming music on our high quality Fluance bluetooth speakers in the Living Room, curl up with a book in the reading nook in the upstairs bedroom, fall into the oversized bean bag in the basement to watch a movie or take a nap, or simply sit outside in the secluded back yard to enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds this tranquil retreat. Studies have shown that lighting temperature (warm vs cool) can improve your mood and reduce stress. Great care and attention were taken to choose warm temperature light bulbs throughout the house (all on dimmers) so you can set the perfect mood to relax and let your worries melt away. Our home is just a short walk from Lake Macatawa and is less than 2 miles from Holland State Park and Tunnel Park. Being nestled into the Big Bay so close to Lake Michigan means you can enjoy relaxing activities like canoeing or kayaking in the calmer waters of Lake Macatawa or head to the State Park if you want to catch a West Coast Lake Michigan sunset. Want to go for a sailboat excursion? We have trusted local vendors where you can charter a sailboat cruise just minutes from the house. There are so many lovely things to see and do in Holland! Our home is less than a mile from our favorite local coffee shop, Kin Coffee & Craft House. There are ample walking trails nearby including Windstorm Park (0.6 miles away), Kuker-van Til Nature Preserve (1.1 miles), Tunnel Park (1.9 miles), and the beautiful Holland Harbor Lighthouse (2.7 miles). Want to eat where the locals go? Order in from Beechwood Grill (2.9 miles) up the road or check out the Itty Bitty Bar (1.2 miles), affectionately known as the "Five Star Dive Bar." Don't let the name fool you though. They may call themselves a dive bar but they've earned those five stars! This place is hopping almost every night of the week and they have an awesome Bloody Mary bar! Downtown Holland has tons of options for food and drink including the famous New Holland Brewery (4.9 miles).
