Located in the lovely coastal village of South Freeport, a stone's throw from Harraseeket Harbor, our barn-studio-suite is a separate living space (3 rooms plus a bath with shower) situated on a private, quiet lot, looking out on gardens and apple trees. A queen bed (new Saatva mattress) with silky, luxury sheets from Cuddledown. The space In addition to the sunny bedroom, the bathroom with shower, and the entry foyer, there is a studio used for teaching T'ai Chi during the week (when we don't have guests), ideal for anyone who wants to bring their T'ai Chi, Yoga, or meditation practice with them, or roll out a sleeping bag for a friend. We also have an outdoor shower in our garden area. Guest access The barn-studio is entirely private and self-contained; it has its own entrance and heating/cooling system. The harbor is an easy walk from the barn, with a town landing, two marinas, and Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster that serves authentic Maine seafood from noon until dusk during the warm months. Winslow park is a few minutes away by car. Other things to note You may be interested to know that Ken is a T'ai Chi instructor (Maine Coast Taijiquan). Ask about the benefits of T'ai Chi and/or Qigong, or how to start your own practice. Jill designs clothing (Just Jill) that can be found in local boutiques. She is always happy to show her clothing line to guests upon request. In cold months (November-March), the heat warms the rooms, but the floors are cool... it's a barn! Bring thick socks or slippers and you'll be fine. Also note that the bathroom/shower is on the first floor while the bedroom is on the second floor. If going up and down stairs at night is an issue, this might not be to your liking. And the bathroom is small... everything you need, but best for one-at-a-time use. If you love a big, spacious bathroom, think twice. We ask guests to take off their shoes while in the barn.
