Historic Hudson Hideaway is the first floor of our 1840s home furnished with a mix of modern finds, antique textiles, and luxury linens. The suite has an abundance of natural light and is ideal for those looking for privacy and retreat while being conveniently located a block from Hudson's Amtrak station, and steps to Warren Street shops, restaurants, bars, and arts. Our home features exposed beams, concrete floors, radiant heat, a whole house water filter, solar-powered energy, and a salvaged farmhouse sink. We provide a hot plate, toaster oven and mini fridge for your leftovers, as well as coffee, granola, plates and glasses. The unit includes a new queen size mattress, Matteo and Libeco bedding, linens, towels and robes. We live on the second floor with our dog. You may hear us walking around, or we may be out of town (both arts professionals who travel). Guest access Private, street level front door with punch code lock. We change codes between guests. Inside there’s a door separating the suite from the rest of the house; this door will remain locked for the entirety of your stay. Other things to note Dogs are welcome, and please let us know in advance. You are responsible for any damage they may cause. The train, while conveniently located, is within earshot. Light sleepers may be more comfortable elsewhere. We aren’t always in town, so please familiarize yourself with our guidebook and amenities, and let us know your needs prior to your arrival.
