Description
Luxury farm stay glamping at the seaside in a beautiful hand-crafted pod. The pod sleeps 2 adults & 2 children. Self-contained with shower, kitchen and enclosed garden. This is a peaceful place to relax after a day at the seaside or exploring the Coastal Country Park in Lincolnshire. The sandy beaches and charming seaside village of Sutton on Sea are just 15 mins walk away. The pods are subtly themed to reflect the farm animals and wildlife you are likely to see on the farm. This is Sheep Pod! The space Sheep Pod has a double bed and double sofa bed and comfortably sleeps a family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 14 and under). Bookings from adult groups (more than 2 adults) will not be accepted. Sheep Pod is self-catering and self-contained with a large en suite toilet/shower room and fully equipped kitchen facilities, including a microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. The pod is designed and positioned to take full advantage of natural solar heating but also has an electric heater and towel rail to keep you warm and snug. The pod has a proper mattress on the double bed with cosy duvet, pillows and bedding. The sofa bed is high quality and extremely comfortable to ensure everyone gets a good night’s sleep. A travel cot (guests provide cot bedding) and high chair is available for hire. The pods are well spaced out and extra privacy is provided by enclosed gardens, landscaped mounds, planted with bee and butterfly-friendly shrubs. There are wildlife belts throughout the site and you are likely to be visited by muntjac deer and pheasants. You’re just over the fence from Stanley the horse and his sheep friends. There is no vehicle access to the glamping pods themselves but the glamping car park is just a short walk away, this ensures a peaceful and safe site for everyone. Wheelbarrows are provided to help move your belongings to your pod. All bedlinen is provided, plus 2 toilet rolls, shower mat, hand soap, washing up liquid, cloths and 2 tea towels. Guests must bring their own towels. A fire bowl and tripod is available for hire but is dependent upon weather conditions. Disposable barbecues are not allowed due to the fire risk and waste generated. We hope you will enjoy a wonderful glamping experience and take the opportunity to rest and relax in this peaceful spot. We want you to be able to switch off from the world and reconnect with family, friends and nature so you’ll find no WiFi or TVs provided. Instead we encourage you to watch the amazing Lincolnshire sunsets or do a spot of star-gazing. The meadow is purposefully low-lit with only a few solar powered lights. If you’re lucky you might see the resident owl surveying his kingdom! Dogs are welcome (maximum 2 dogs and no puppies under the age of 6 months) and there is a £ supplement – please refer to the dog rules. The gardens are enclosed with a picket fence but there are livestock close by so dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a lead when outside the garden. Manor Farm Stay is managed in an environmentally sustainable way and this has been recognised by a Silver Award from Green Tourism. Building the pods ourselves has enabled us to source locally and repurpose materials where possible, upcycle second hand furniture and doors, and ensure that we’re always considering the energy efficiency of the pods. This is not necessarily the quickest way to build but it felt right. It smells good too…the wood is oiled, not painted, so it can breathe and it smells wonderful. With environmental sustainability in mind with regards to water, chemical and energy use, we do not have hot tubs. This listing is for Sheep Pod, we also have a listing for Cow and Bee Pod. Guest access Glamping meadow and Sheep Pod. Outside each pod there is a picnic bench and a lawn. Tours of the farm are available. There is a car park for the glamping meadow and wheelbarrows provided. Other things to note Sorry for the level of detail here! We are experienced hosts and we know that glamping on a farm is very different to staying in a hotel so we want you to have all the information before making the decision to book. The glamping pod can accommodate maximum 2 adults and 2 children (aged 14 or under). Bookings from adult groups (more than 2 adults) will not be accepted. This is a small peaceful glamping site and we welcome families, couples and solo travellers. We cannot accommodate large parties, hen parties and stag parties etc. Antisocial behaviour or actions which are likely to offend others will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to terminate your stay. No refunds will be made. Only registered guests are allowed on the premises. We do not allow guests to invite visitors here as this is out of compliance with the fire management protocol and insurance. This also ensures the glamping site remains a peaceful place for everyone. No smoking or use of electronic cigarettes inside the pod at any time. If you smoke outside, please smoke at least 3 metres away from the pod and decking and completely away from the farm buildings. An ashtray is provided in the vicinity of each pod, do not discard cigarette butts. No naked flames, candles or incense may be burnt inside the pod or within 3 metres of the pod.. Disposable BBQs are not allowed on site due to the fire risk. Fire bowls, grill and bbq utensils can be hired and will be provided with a starter pack of firewood and kindling. Open fires are only allowed in the fire bowls (which must not be moved) and only in appropriate weather conditions, in particularly windy or dry periods the fire bowls will not be available. Guests should be aware that the fire bowls may be dangerous if misused. Instructions can be found in the Welcome Folder and must be read before use. Each pod has a smoke alarm, fire blanket and a fire extinguisher. Two additional fire extinguishers and site evacuator fire alarm is positioned at the fire point. Fire safety instructions are provided in the Welcome Folder. Manor Farm is a working farm and guests must take care on site with regards to farm machinery, wire fencing, uneven/muddy ground and farm animals, and other hazards. Do not enter farm buildings or fields or climb on or over gates or fences. Do not approach or feed animals. The pods are located in a grass field with pathways but the terrain is uneven. No loud noise after 9pm or before 8am. No loud radios or amplified music at any time. Fireworks and sky lanterns are forbidden as they pose a risk of fire and are a danger to livestock and people. The glamping meadow is a low-light site and we encourage guests to bring torches. There is a PIR light on the porch of each pod and lighting and electricity in the pods but no WiFi or TV. Do not leave litter anywhere on site and never leave food or rubbish outside your accommodation, please use the appropriate bins provided in the glamping car park. Valuables are left on site at your own risk. At the end of your stay you must ensure that: Your accommodation is left in a tidy condition. All rubbish is placed in the appropriate bins provided in the glamping car park. All kitchen equipment is properly washed up and returned to the drawers and cupboards. If the accommodation is not left in an acceptable condition and extra cleaning is required, this will incur a charge. DOG RULES We welcome well-behaved dogs to our glamping site but due to the proximity to livestock we do insist upon some basic rules and reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog causes undue or continued disturbance. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times due to other guests and very close proximity to farm animals. Please be aware that there are barbed wire fences in the glamping field and sheep and cattle in the adjoining fields. Puppies under 6 months cannot be accommodated. Dogs are welcome in the pods but are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Please use their own bedding. Flea and worm treatment must be current. Dogs must not be left alone in the pods or anywhere on site at any time. Please pick up any dog poo and put it in the general waste bin at the glamping car park. We do not charge a deposit to cover any damage, so please be respectful and tell us if your dog causes any damage/mess. You will be responsible for any damage and extra cleaning required. We charge a dog supplement (maximum 2 dogs), please inform us at the time of booking if you wish to bring a dog.
