Shuksan Guest Studio is a bright, simple yet well-appointed getaway on the ground floor of the cabin, in Glacier, WA. This is a separate space, has it's own entrance from the garage. With tall ceilings & beautiful wood finishes, it's a cozy, clean space for 1-3 folks wanting to get into the mountains without renting a large cabin. Upstairs is our vacation cabin, but we are up about 1 weekend per month. We rent this studio out occasionally, mostly when we are not there to enjoy it. New pics soon! The space The shared spaces are a big deck that looks out into the mossy trees and is above the sound of nearby Glacier Creek. Plus the garage, drying room, work bench and laundry, if we are around. There's also an outdoor firepit. Within the separate space there is a convection oven/microwave, mini fridge and an extra mini fridge in the garage, plus all the cookware and kitchen utensils needed to cook on the 2-burner electric stove. The bathroom is roomy and has a whirlpool tub. Guest access You may access the entire upstairs cabin plus the shared garage. but currently there is no one living in the downstairs studio appartment, so you have the place to yourselves! Other things to note This is located in a gated community - Mt Baker Rim Instructions will include where to pick up the 'gate key' plus the house keys to get in the gate. To let guests in, they will scroll down to "Mauser" to call you, and you will buzz them in from the phone by pushing #9 NOTE: There is no cell service in the area, so know before you go...and set up your cell for wifi calling once you arrive at the cabin as there is also no long distance :)
