A two bedroom 2nd floor apartment with uninterrupted sea & beach views from every room The space This second floor, split level apartment occupies the corner of the building and so has sea views from every room After entering the building and going up the communal first flight of stairs you get to the apartments front door, upon entering you immediately go up a flight of stairs into the centre of the apartment To the right is the lounge , main bedroom and a cloakroom toilet To the left is the second bedroom , shower room and kitchen Main bedroom Located at the front of the building and benefitting from double aspect sea views , you can lie in bed and watch the waves on the Blue Flag beach or look over to Southwold Pier The room itself has a king size bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe set into the chimney breast recess Just outside the room is the cloakroom toilet The lounge Having a bay window looking over toward Southwold Pier and the beach The room itself is a good size Smart TV stereo, books and games to while away an hour or two Bedroom 2 This has a window the whole length of the room , again looking over toward the pier and beach ( it is slightly higher ) The room itself has a zip link bed so can be set as a twin or double bed Nb This room will be set as a twin ,should you require it as a double please state at time of booking The shower room Set into the eaves of the building this compact bathroom has a large shower , toilet and washbasin - please note head room is restricted in part of this room especially if over 6ft The kitchen / dinner A light and airy room again having the advantage of the pier and sea view from the main window, but with the bonus of Southwold Lighthouse views from the small window The kitchen has all the cooking utensils , pots and pans you could wish for as well as .. Cooker & Induction hob Microwave Fridge & freezer Small dishwasher Guest access Like most of Southwold, this accommodation does not have any parking, however free on street parking is available all over the town, once you get a spot there are no time restrictions This beachside apartment is a two minute walk from the Sole Bay Inn or three minutes to the centre of the town Other things to note You must be able to climb stairs , there is no lift The Craighurst has had many lives since it was built , a school ( George Orwell being its most notable alumni) and a hotel, however now provides accommodation as a mix of permanent residences , second homes and holiday lets , the exterior and communal areas are maintained by an external company and are out of my control , the views from the apartment are fantastic , however this is a second floor apartment and being on the beach front the windows can at times suffer from sea spray and sand , unfortunately this is a trade off of being beachside in the changeable British climate ( they are cleaned once a month ) Should you need a replacement set of keys during your stay you will be charged £50 ( £20 will be to cover the cost of provision of this service , £30 will be donated to the RNLI ) The cloakroom toilet is a macerator toilet should you block this you will incur a charge for any repair or damage You are not charged a cleaning fee for this apartment , in return you are expected to leave it in a neat and tidy state , any excessive cleaning will be charged
