There is free parking outside the garage. Please note the garage will NOT be available for guest use. For your convenience and flexibility, we provide self check-in for guests. A few details of note: ✔ We recommend guests download offline maps prior to heading to the chalet as cell service can be spotty; once you arrive, we have fantastic Wi-Fi ✔ Numbers are displayed on the road but the driveway can be a bit tricky to spot; it’s been marked with red reflectors and is just past the Maple farm if passing from the right ✔ During heavy rainfall, the driveway can get a bit soft; during heavy snowfall, the hill can be a little steep so feel free to park your cars at the bottom of the hill near the well. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. Please purchase travel insurance to avoid disappointment. ✔ Security cameras are located on the outside of the property for security purposes Other things to note THE NEIGHBORHOOD If you’re looking for a scenic getaway with plenty of privacy, this is the place! But privacy doesn’t mean inconvenience. You’ll be only minutes away from major attractions such as: ✔ Hickory Ski Center [12 mins] ✔ Gore Mountain [23 mins] ✔ Lake George Village [24 mins] ✔ Six Flags Great Escape (Summer Only) [28 mins] ✔ Lake George Outlets [30 mins] ✔ Revolution Rails [10 mins] Please note when you arrive to the house, you are in the Adirondacks Mountains and woods. Therefore, there may be a variety of animals that roam the property, such as deer, turkeys, etc. Finally, we professionally treat our property for pests; however we are located in the woods, and do not offer refunds if a bug is found in or around the property! Please note that we unfortunately do not provide firewood for the fire pit as large piles of wood tend to attract critters that we would prefer our guests to not have to deal with. Many neighbors sell firewood bundles by the roadside on the honor system. Guest Acknowledgment and Waiver: The Guest acknowledges that voluntary participation in physical activities, whether indoors or outdoors, including but not limited to the use of the hot tub, firepit, grill, yard, driveway, paths, porches, and roads, is undertaken at their own risk. All such activities inherently carry an element of risk. By booking this home, the Guest agrees that participation and use of facilities and grounds are entirely at their own risk. The Guest assumes full responsibility for any and all aspects of their participation, as well as for any children accompanying them on the property or while visiting the area. The Guest acknowledges that there is an risk in using the hot tub and by booking this home this waiver and following the rules below are accepted: The use of any hot tub or pool involves risks that may result in serious injury or death. No children under the age of 12 are permitted to use the hot tub or sauna at any time. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) advises that becoming overheated in a hot tub or sauna is not recommended during pregnancy. Elderly persons and those with heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, strokes, epilepsy, or similar health conditions should consult a physician before using the hot tub. Never use the hot tub while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, if you are taking medications, or if you are being treated for any illness. The hot tub should be kept at a temperature below 102F for personal safety. All bathers must shower before and after using the hot tub to reduce the risk of skin irritation or other health concerns. Do not sit or walk on the hot tub cover, or the pool cover off season. Exercise caution when walking around the deck where the hot tub is located. Children must be supervised at all times to minimize the risk of injury, death, or drowning near the hot tub. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. Please purchase travel insurance to avoid disappointment. Please remember that you’re staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
