Relax in this beautifully updated basement retreat thoughtfully designed with comfort and privacy in mind. Located about 3 miles from downtown Forest Grove in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Take a walk along Forest Glen Park Trail that runs directly behind our house, or visit one of the award winning wineries in the area Ideal for travelers who want to explore Washington County with it's scenic trails, wetlands and wildlife preserves, farmer's markets, and festivals. The space is approximately 650 sq. feet. You will have the complete lower level of the home which includes a living room with a comfy L-shaped sofa, gas fireplace, a large screen TV, and a cozy table and chairs for enjoying a nice glass of wine or playing your favorite board game. Also, downstairs is a private bath with an oversize shower, equipped with clean soft bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and the essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hairdryer. The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, large walk-in closet to store your bags, and a overstuffed chair. If you would need to use the washer and dryer the utility room is downstairs as well, and has a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker for your use. Parking is either in front of our home on the street, or there is one space in the driveway. Entry through the front door. Finally, in the summer you are welcome up on our deck to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting. I always feel like I'm up in a treehouse from that overlook! You will have the entire downstairs. You may also use any outside area's like our deck, patio, or yard. We are available as you need us, otherwise you will have your complete privacy. Please be aware that this is the lower level of our home which we enjoy sharing. It is just the two of us but you may hear us walking around upstairs, otherwise we will be as quiet as possible. The downtown area has a number of restaurants and some cute shops like A Framer's Touch and Daniela's Gifts on Main. Depending on the time of year you visit Forest Grove has some fun and unique community activities. For example in the summer the Rotarians host the Concours de' Elegance on the beautiful shaded campus of Pacific University, also we have the annual Uncorked in the Grove, an evening affair, where Main Street is closed off and vendors showcase their fine wines, micro-brew beers, and spirits. In the fall we have the Annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Event with amateurs to professional artists who decorate the sidewalks, followed up by the Corn Roast. The downtown sparkles and shines in December kicked off with a parade the first Saturday of the month and many other activities throughout the month. Theatre in the Grove is our local community theatre. Forest Grove is definitely a destination worth exploring. For getting around your own transportation would be best. We do have the GroveLink bus that comes to the different areas of Forest Grove. They come to our neighborhood every hour, but it is 5 blocks to the designated stop. No fare is required to use the service. We also have the Tri-Met bus which you can catch downtown. It would take you all the way to Portland. Many people drive to Hillsboro and catch the Max, Portland's mass transit. It's very convenient if you want to go into Portland but don't want the hassle of parking. Guests will be provided a code for the Keyless entry on the front door. Feel free to come and go through the front door, then downstairs to your accommodation's. Your own transportation is necessary.
