The triple rooms, designed by the renowned Carles Riart, have a double bed or two double single beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, plus an extra bed. The design and comfort of the furnishings are complemented by a state-of-the-art bathroom/shower as well as Smart TV, free Wi-Fi broadband connection available to guests, safe, heating and air conditioning. The space Fonda Europa is an establishment dedicated to offering good food and good rest in a family atmosphere since 1771. As defined by the Fonda's ideology, the spirit of hospitality begins at the table and is transferred to the warmth of the room. In keeping with this hospitable tradition dating back to the end of the 18th century, our restaurant, an exponent of traditional Catalan cuisine, is complemented by 37 spacious, elegant and modern rooms, with every comfort. A house with so much tradition has attracted artists of all kinds such as Picasso, Dalí, Montalbán, Cela, Miró, Eugeni Xammar.... Characters who have left their mark on the walls and history of Fonda Europa, such as Josep Pla, for example. The charismatic writer, who used to spend long stays here, baptised our emblematic breakfasts as "esmorzars de forquilla". It is not only the oldest fonda in the country but also a family business that over time has managed to maintain the essence of a unique space. The Parellada family has been running Fonda Europa for eight generations. Of the members of this family, a great memory and thousands of stories are preserved; the handkerchief that grandfather Paco always wore on his shoulder and which served as an alter ego, once the service was finished, to criticise and flatter him. Or the tenacity and empowerment of the "mestressa" Mariantònia, at a time when it was unusual to see a woman at the head of a business. As well as the current owner, Ramon Parellada, raised among pots and pans and the stories of Eugeni Xammar and Josep Pla, regular guests. It is true that all this heritage can be breathed today in Fonda Europa and, together with the treatment of its team and the flavours of a visceral cuisine, it is an experience capable of thrilling. Guest access On the ground floor you will find the bar & restaurant where you can enjoy the traditional Catalan cuisine that characterises us so much, as well as our emblematic "knife and fork breakfasts". Our menu is a compendium of recipes steeped in history, including rice dishes, roasts and traditional dishes. For breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have several atmospheres, including a terrace from which you can appreciate the daily life of the city of Granollers. We recommend: starting the day with a "planchadito" or a good "capipota", enjoying one of our midday rice dishes or having a transcendental experience with one of the house's signature dishes such as cannelloni, Paella Parellada, lamb with twelve heads of garlic and the typical Catalan stew "escudella i carn d'olla".
