If you don’t want to cook in our western-standard kitchen (with a proper fridge and oven), my helper can cook a breakfast for you. It costs 80000 IDR per person and includes a banana pancakes or omlette, plus fruits and fresh juice. Also she can cook a yummy lunch for you or make a balinese cooking class! She is an amazing chief! Please book 1 evening before. HIGH-SPEED INTERNET: We actually have fiber optic cable from company Biznet, which is rare for the area. So download speeds are up to 75 mbps ! But being Bali, please be patient with it. Sometimes for weather and other reasons the signal from the provider goes down for a few hours, then bounces back. We have about 99% up time, pretty good for Bali! EXTRA AMENITIES: Drinking water, tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo, soap, butterflies and fireflies are waiting for you) INSTANT BOOK You don’t need to enquire whether the dates are available – airbnb has the live up-to-date calendar, so if it quotes you a price and shows the dates available, you can book instantly in the confidence that the villa is available. You’re welcome to send questions first; just know that the listing stays open and someone may instant-book in the meantime. BALI NOISES, INSECTS, ELECTRICITY & WIFI: Please be aware that everywhere in Bali there can be an occasional blackout, where electricity can go out for a minute or, rarely, a few hours. Same with wifi. Also, as Bali is a tropical island, and especially as we are located near a river, you can expect to hear frogs and crickets, and to see an occasional bat, lizard plus insects like dragonflies and at night fireflies! We are lucky not to get many mosquitos, but there are some and you can close your doors at night to keep them out, and/or use the untimosquito electronic vaporizer in your room. The villa has it's own private road wide enough to allow a car. You can walk (10 mins) in the morning to a huge rice field with long and narrow roads to see the sun rise and enjoy the dew drops on the tips of rice sprouts. On your way back you can have a healthy breakfast in Moksa cafe or cafe Vespa. Also we are in walking distance to Alchemy and Yellow Flower, Copi Desa and a large number of other cafes and warungs (small family restaurants). Also there are two great restaurants with amazing views: Sayan House and Sayan Terrace (each are ~5 min walks from the house). Sayan house is our guests favorite! The 4 Seasons is close too - great place for a fancy all-you-can-eat breakfast on the river (it's a bit highbrow, but the location and architecture is well worth checking out). Guest access You have your own private, self-contained villa, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, western kitchen with a fridge, freezer and oven, pool, big garden, private parking for car and/or motorbike in 2 meters from your entrance, storage room with washing machine with hot water. A fresh air in the morning, natural sound of birds, a perfect serene home to relax and enjoy. Other things to note It IS Bali, Indonesia so do not be surprised about seeing lizards and ants inside the villa sometimes. You are staying in a tropical forest so it is inevitable that lizards will be there. And that's what make Ubud living different from Singapore, LA or other western cities with concrete and glass everywhere around. So we ask that you open your heart to the wonderful world of nature around us here. Every house in Indonesia has geckos and lizards living under the roof. Our gecko has been living here from the very beginning and this forest was had been his home before we built the villa. Geckos eat mosquitoes and moths and help keeping dengue at bay. And of course he leaves little droppings constantly)) We usually thank him, as it shows how much insects he has consumed. The drops are easily removed with the broom/tissue. Luckily we don’t have many mosquitoes in our area. But for your peace of mind there are mosquito spirals to lit in the evening when staying in the open area (check in one of the kitchen cabinets). Also there is an electric mosquito vaporizer in each bedroom and a mosquito net for each bed. Once a year there is a period (end of December - beginning of January), when it rains a lot in Bali, it inevitably brings the flying termite season. The winged termites are attracted to light. If the doors or the windows are open, they wil fly inside the house in huge numbers. Flying termites are harmless to people, they only live for a couple of hours, they mate, drop their wings and then die. Usually they appear in the evening around 7-8pm. All you need to do is close the doors/windows, switch off the lights, wait for 10-15 minutes and they will fly away. Probably you will want to sweep their wings from the floor, or wait for our staff to do that the next morning. me any inquiries you may have. We are happy to cater to all guest's needs in order to make your stay in Bali truly remarkable.
