#13 cottage on a truly private beach
Description
The most unique cottage rental on the southwestern shore of Lake Erie. A turn of the century cottage with updated kitchen and bathroom which is wonderfully maintained. Located on 14 acres of private property and a private beach with 4 generations of returning renters. This cottage is fully insulated but does not have a furnace , there is a wood burning stove and space heaters to keep you warm throughout the fall time The space Cottage has fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker , French press and all the cooking utensils you will need. Weber charcoal grill and utensils . Wifi is available but there is no television. It is a completely private cottage with no sounds of cars, only the sounds of the waves and the wind . Please keep in mind that it is a cottage, there is no dishwasher and it is not a gourmet kitchen. The cottage is insulated and there is a wood burning stove to keep your warm there are also bugs and algae at times on the beach. Upon renting this cottage you will have automatic access to the private beach and use of water equipment after reviewing the house rules. If you are a tennis player there is a court on an adjacent property 200 metres away which you can book court time for through managers upon your arrival. There is also the opportunity with permission from the managers to feed our horses and rabbits. Kids can play on the playground and ride their bikes around the property. There are also a lot of dogs on the property that are very friendly , they range in age from puppies to older dogs, quite often they will try and come and play with kids on the beach. Please do not throw ANY THING other than tennis balls or sticks for the dogs. Sand causes distress on their digestive system and rocks chip their teeth. Thank you for respecting this rule. Guest access Private beach , lawn chairs, use of water equipment such as kayaks, kids paddle boards, kids kayaks , adult kayaks , adult SUP's, a permanent raft in the middle of the bay during the summer, which kids can swim out to and jump off. We would really like to underline it is a family oriented space and there are a lot of kids around .It is a very safe place for children to have some independence without the concern of strangers, traffic and the usual city worries. We are looking for long term families to come and enjoy or wonderful, undiscovered oasis . Other things to note Buffalo 30 minutes away, Niagara Falls 35 minutes away . Many bike trails in the area. Wineries 45 minutes away in Niagara on the Lake. Weekly Port Colborne Farmers Market. Washer and dryer available for use once a week for a fee . Also 3 laundromats in town, one provides wash and fold .
