The space CONSERVATION OF WATER It is imperative that all guests do their best to conserve water as we utilize a limited reservoir, not a well. We ask guests to limit their showers to 2-3 minutes, to shower only once daily and to not run tap water indiscriminately while brushing teeth. Every little bit helps. PETS We are pet friendly but ask all guests to ensure their pets are on a flea prevention program. Please poop and scoop. WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU -Sheets (1 queen, and two twin beds in the sleeping loft that can be pushed together for a king bed) - we provide pillows and plenty of blankets. -Towels -Tea Towels -Drinking water -Firewood -Take your garbage and recycling with you at check-out. INFO -Access to private association dock on McKellar Lake across the road -Propane BBQ -Firepit -Wood burning stove -Window air conditioner in July/August -Open concept, totally renovated cabin with custom interior woodworking and vintage decor. -Kick back and listen to some vintage vinyl from our incredible collection! -Bathroom with shower and eco friendly compost toilet. -Refrigerator -Stove (only top burners work) oven does not - use toaster oven -Microwave -Toaster Oven -Coffee maker (Keurig), French Press and Percolator NOTE THE FOLLOWING SO YOU WON'T BE SUPRRISED - This is an open space cabin. - We ask guests to respect our need to conserve water and not take long showers or run water needlessly. - Eco friendly compost toilet - not a flush toilet. - Cabin is small - 400+sq.ft. - At certain times of the year you will have mosquitoes and black flies. Bring spray! - The access to Lake McKellar is shared. Access is 2 min. walk away across the road - Cabin is not waterfront. It is across the road from McKellar Lake. - Individuals with mobility issues will experience difficulty accessing lake (steep hill) and the sleeping loft. Easy to get to and close to Parry Sound (15-20 min drive). Short hiking trail with access from our property. Note we have a Trail Cam on our property (outdoors). Balsam Hiking Trail 2km away (90 min trail) McKellar Farmers Market in July and August (5 min walk) Award winning golf course (Ridge at Manitou Golf Club) a 10 min drive away. A public boat launch is minutes away.
