Description
Welcome to Laxberg, a cozy 19th-century farm in the Östergötland forests with the Svartån river bubbling along the property. Walking distance to the beautiful Lake Sommen with swimming, fishing and boating. The surrounding forests are lovely for walking, berry and mushroom picking. The property consists of a main building, and a barn where half is converted into a guest house with sauna and bathroom. On the property, there are several patios and a wood-fired pool (€150 surcharge), so there are good opportunities to just enjoy the tranquility of the farm. The space The main building has a ground floor with a large fully-equipped kitchen with dining area and fireplace. There are two living rooms, one a little larger with sofas, TV and fireplace, and the other with a seating area that leads directly out onto the terrace and down to the water. There is also a toilet with shower. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, where the larger one is divided into two parts with a double bed in each part. Half of the barn has been rebuilt, and today contains a large sauna overlooking the garden, a sitting area with sofa and armchairs, a toilet with shower, and upstairs a large bedroom with room for 6 people to sleep (1 double bed and 4 places in bunk beds with high comfort). Outdoors, there is a large garden, with 2-3 terraces and a small pool area. The pool can be used cold or heated with wood. Using the pool costs €150 extra per stay because it requires preparation and because it takes a lot of wood to heat. Guest access When you rent Laxberg, you get access to all the areas described in the ad, and no one else stays on the property at the same time.
