Sit on our comfy couch and read a book or spend time out on one of our two balconies drinking organic coffee. You can cook in a full kitchen and have dinner in the dining room. You don't just get a room to sleep in, you get a whole home to live in. The space My husband and I have two full time jobs and two small dogs, Minnie and Noble. Noble is a new, younger dog, and quite rambunctious so we are working to get him trained and calmer. Minnie is an older dog and loves kissing everyone. Monday through Friday we are gone most of the day and feel we have a lot of extra space not being used and wasted. So we decided to open our home to the everyday traveler looking for a great deal and a pleasant experience. Our condominium is in a secure, gated complex with key access. We have free guest parking amidst the resident parking below our condo. The neighborhood has plenty of places to eat and shop nearby and is very close to public transportation. If you arrive at the Los Angeles airport (LAX), it's very easy to jump on a Flyaway bus that brings passengers straight to Van Nuys. That trip takes about 30-45 minutes and costs $8 one way. We live five minutes from the Flyaway bus location so if we're home, we can come pick you up! We spend the weekends at the gym and relaxing at home with our dogs. We have lived in our home here in Los Angeles for many years, so we can give you many insights and tips on what to see and when to brave the crazy LA traffic! We lived in South Korea for two years, so we are very Korean-friendly, and even speak a little of the language. We know how difficult it is to find 100% organic food to eat when we travel, so we wanted to make it very easy for guests to eat healthy on their travels. We are also business-friendly, as we both have full-time careers (Sandy is a private high school science teacher in Beverly Hills and Derek handles investments for the South Korean government). If you're here on business and need time to work in a quiet space, we get it! Other things to note We travel the world and love meeting new people to learn about their culture and more about ourselves. Some of our best trips have been spent interacting with the locals. We have always appreciated the kind-hearted people who have given us our greatest memories. Now it’s our turn to give back. We are definitely international-traveler-friendly! We love our home, we love our animals, and we’d love for you to have a great experience here in Los Angeles. Please call our home your home for the short time you are with us. Our complex is not ADA friendly, as there are stairs to climb. There is free posted Guest Parking among the reserved resident parking in the alley behind our condo complex. We also chose not to own a TV because we believe it to be a distraction. But we have a great reading selection, so if you're a fan of Stephen King, you're in luck!
