TIPS ABOUT YOUR STAY Nearest beach (psarou beach) 6 min drive (no sunbeds and umbrellas but nice sandy beach and crystal water!) you may eat or just have "ouzo and meze (sardines, marinated anchovies, red mullet etc)" at the beach taverna “psarou” , delicious home made traditional food (also cheap) at "Bougarini" or for a more upscale atmosphere (including coctails...and a bit more pricey..) eat at "porta del mar" (walk 100 meters on the beach and walk up this boutique hotel stairs). 2. Eat at night if staying at the house terrace or patio by calling delivery service food at "Lofos" restaurant - - give the directions at "antonis" opposite Kotsonis house or walk to “lofos” - 3 minutes walking distance (good food, moderate prices and very nice view / terrace). 3. Shop at the local grocery store “To horio” fresh bread, fruits, if you like cold coffee order “fredo espresso or cappuccino” or any other coffee. (5 min walking) 4. If you need a big super market for the weekly shopping (14 min drive) 5. City of Zakinthos Nice food in the city Prosilio (gourmet and pricey) Alektor (traditional with live music (vocals and mandolins) moderate price) City has a lot of different cuisines to taste…search trip advisor etc 6. Go to a neighborhood called Bohali for a spectacular port view and have dinner at local tavernas (the best for live traditional Zakinthian music (mandolin, guitar and vocals) and/or sweet/deserts at “Lata” From city to Bohali (9 min drive) 7. Beaches now : Kalamaki – (very quiet and calm, sandy with or without sunbeds/crowds (just walk along this 2-3 km beach..). From Gerakari (28 min drive) Gerakas – splendid sandy wide beach From Gerakari (48 min drive) Aikes – 10 min drive - Navagio – famous beach (mostly for photos) Go there (Aghios Nikolaos) (38 min drive), to get a morning boat (smaller private boats are better but more expensive) to Navagio. (better be there at 9am to avoid the crowds). You will also visit “galazies spilies/ blue caves” - intermediate stop for swimming by the boat. To get a picture from the high cliff (like the ones you see on the net…it’s a different story. You have to drive 38 mins …but this way , you can only take photos from the cliff ..no access to the beach. Keri beach – small beach with a fantastic tavern. 43 min drive ..you will walk down the footpath (5 min downhill to the beach) Limnionas- amazing “fjord” like cove (deep water should know swimming) with seaside tavern. Can be crowded… Nice mountain-view drive to get there (52 mins) … driving to Geraka …you may visit different beaches on the road (see roadsigns) and pick any beach you like (banana is also good with a huge beach bar and sandbeds). So plan another day to take the road to Gerakas and stop at banana or any other beach. Registration Details 00000512915
