Acorn Barn a unique former cow house

Get away from it all with a cosy stay in a unique little barn conversion on a small holding with poultry, sheep and pigs. Acorn Barn sits at the end of its own driveway across a field set above a small CAMC 5cl. At night you may hear owls in the valley and the usual country noises by day from nearby working farms although the barn itself is double glazed and previous guests haven’t found any noises intrusive. You can see the railway line and look down on the duck pond and watch the poultry. The space Unique, bijou, cosy and snug describes Acorn Barn, the bedroom/living space is one room although the bed is king size. There is an adjoining kitchen which is small and compact with full-size oven and under cabinet fridge. And a shower room with toilet and sink complete the accommodation. Behind Acorn Barn is a utility shed with washing mashing and tumble dryer, outside there is ample parking and sitting area with lawn, BBQ area where you can bring your own disposable BBQ, rotary washing line, Bin and Recycling, there are rural views. Guest access Acorn Barn is an entire property with its own garden and parking and utility shed. Other things to note Acorn Barn is set off the road (B3275) up its own driveway across a field with easy access to the A30. We are approximately 5 miles from Truro. You can see the railway line and look down on the hosts home and adjoining CAMC 5 cl. Acorn Barn sits between two fields within a short walk to the local village of Probus which has several amenities including a farm shop, small food shop, garage with well stocked shop, pub the Hawkins Arms, a Chinese and Indian takeaway and fish and chip shop. There is a beautiful old church in the centre of the village and country footpaths around the village for walking. Truro and St Austel are within easy access by car or bus. Accessibility: Due to the age and size of the property, whilst being characterful and quirky, may, unfortunately, make our accommodation unsuitable for guests with wheelchair mobility.
