You will reserve our really small studio(9sq meters) strictly for one person , which is a little below ground floor(about 1 meter). It is located at our shared courtyard, but there is exterior furniture for every other guest. Barbara Studios is, and has been, a real Cretan family home, welcoming travelers coming from all over the world since 1969, respecting the meaning of the Greek word "Filoxenia". If you wish to feel like a local, then this will be your real home in Rethymno. :-) The space In this 1600's Venetian building, the Venetian and Ottoman heritage, the exotic scents and the magnificent architecture, all endowed to us by the lords and merchants who lived here in the ancient times, is still real and is immediately revealed when you step through the front door for the first time. The tradition of hospitality has been alive at Barbara Studios, since 1969. Barbara family's Cretan love, our love, is the same love which was generously passed to us by our ancestors born and raised in Crete, the island and the mother of world's hospitality. Anything you need to visit, from museums, attractions, restaurants, and coffee bars is less than 2 minutes walking. You can relax and enjoy Barbara's roof terrace and the other lovely patios and courtyards, bearing in mind that time is not important, since you are already staying in the heart of Crete, and you really feel and are really treated like a local. Other things to note - This studio is really small (9 sq meters) so please take this size into account. - We kindly note that it is about one meter below ground floor. - The terrace is not private, since our garden is shared with other guests. There is enough furniture for everyone. - There are also two other common patios, and a shared roof terrace for your convenience. - Please keep in mind that there is no elevator at Barbara Studios.
