The space Welcome to Domaine des Châtaigniers! In a property of 3.5 hectares of greenery, surrounded by century-old chestnut trees, you will feel like you are in a real family home in our Gîte. Carefully decorated, you will be in a cocoon, a wellness break in a warm and comfortable place. Just put down your luggage, the beds are made when you arrive, and linens are included! The cottage has 4 large double bedrooms (each with its bathroom and wc)- possibility of transforming the double beds into single beds (inform us beforehand, max 2 bedrooms), a relaxing lounge with library and office, a living room with equipped kitchen and dining area. A terrace allows you to eat outside, not overlooked, in complete tranquility. The 10x5m pool offers a real moment of relaxation. It is heated with solar panels (27/28° in summer), secure and has an outdoor shower! A dome allows you to swim at any time! [Open from about May to late seven - depending on weather conditions]. You can refine your 100% relaxing stay with the Nordic bath (from September to June) and the wood-fired barrel sauna, with a beautiful natural view open all year round! Enjoy the calm, the songs of birds and owls in the evening. Your vacation will be both relaxing and accompanied by beautiful sightseeing. Take advantage of your visit to visit the Marais Poitevin and its green Venice, many castles, Puy du Fou, Zoo, Futuroscope, local farms, parks, Vendee beaches... This is a relaxing and disconnecting break, so festive evenings are not accepted. Please note: in the event of a heat wave or very high temperatures, the Nordic bath and sauna will not be usable for safety reasons. Guest access You have private access to the gîte on an estate of 3 hectares of wooded land with unobstructed views of nature! Access to the gîte is independent. Other things to note 🪵 3 packs of wood for the 3 wood stoves are provided. Beyond that: €20/additional supply. 🕔 Late check-out is allowed until 5:00 p.m. for a fee (excluding July/August). Only if there is no same-day check-in. €50 until 5:00 p.m. 🍴 Reservation of appetizer boards or local cheese boards possible at extra cost. Breakfast baskets, composed of homemade and local products possible at extra cost. 🔥 You will be responsible for managing the Nordic bath and sauna independently (heated by a wood stove - wood provided) 🧹 Full cleaning is to be done by you before your departure. Cleaning fee available (to be paid on-site at extra cost): €110/stay. 🦮 Beyond 1 pet, a deposit of €150 will be required (check or cash). 🚗 Electric car charging is permitted with prior agreement and for a fee (€20 on weekends, €50 on weekdays, other upon request). 🏊‍♀️ No pets allowed in the pool area, Nordic bath, or sauna. The use of fins and rigid boards is not allowed in the pool.
