Enjoy the sounds of nature! The Domes at Deer Creek are anything but ordinary. Escape to 1 of 5 Dome retreat homes in what feels like a magical Creekside fairy garden to relax and rejuvenate. Modern meets nature in our upscale Domes complete with awesome ambiance, comfortable beds, off grid accessories private patios, and more! Shared outdoor kitchen, farm house (full kitchen & indoor restrooms) and a hot tub are all available for guest use. The space Dome set in the woods - complete with queen luxury bed, kitchenette, small sofa, desk, private deck, wood stove inside, outdoor fire pit, and all the off grid amenities! Battery and rechargeable lighting, fan, solar fan, cast iron tea kettle and pan for in dome cooking, fire roasting sticks, chefs knife, plates, cups, silverware, French press, coffee tea, cooler for storing food, starter supply of wood… and more! All you need to bring is yourselves, extra wood to burn, food, and ice for your provided cooler! Guest access The property consists of 5 private domes on decks for an ultimate glamping experience! In addition there is a shared bathroom building with 3 private bathrooms complete with heat and rain showers, shared outdoor kitchen, indoor/outdoor dining area, creek, hot tub, field, kids play area, and so many outdoor games to choose from! The community house features a full kitchen, full additional bathroom, 3 season porch overlooking the creek, and living room with smart TV that is available for guest use. Our property includes 6 acres for you to enjoy. It is very important that our guests are mindful of our neighbors and that you do not venture off of our property. The creek is available for wading, but no floating, as you end up on private property. PLEASE NOTE: These domes have a wood stove installed, but is not currently operable. A propane heater will be provided, along with two green propane canisters per day (enough for about 6 hours of heat). If you need additional, there is a convenience store nearby that sells them. Experience luxury off grid living with the grid literally just steps away! *** 4 people can stay in a dome if two are small. Just ask! *** House with full kitchen and bathroom also available to guests *** One cot per dome is available upon request *** Wifi exists but is currently spotty so may not work in your dome Other things to note We are located on 6 acres on a beautiful salmon spawning creek. Animals sited include fish, otters, and bald eagles to name a few! We are located in a neighborhood but from the moment you enter you will feel worlds away. There are 4 Creekside domes and 1 woods dome available at all times. Full grounds rentals are available- inquiries can be made here. Have complete self sustainability in your dome and on your private deck with fire pit (minus a very short walk to bathroom facilities complete with modern compostable toilets, heat and rain showers. 4 available for only 5 domes so you never have to wait!). Or choose to partake in our shared offerings such as the outdoor covered kitchen, indoor/outdoor dining and rec area, kids play area, hot tub or community house. Here are answers to some of the questions we've been getting. What is the dome? Is it a tent? It’s not a tent! We ordered our domes from Pacific Domes- the original award winning (woman owned) dome company located right here in the PNW (Ashland, OR). Are they comfortable in all weather * For the most part - remember, this is like camping, but better! Please watch the forecast & prepared if you're coming during cold weather. When the domes were built, they included a woodstove which they are not currently operable and are being replaced. In the interim, we have provided a propane heater in every dome, along with 2 propane canisters per day (enough for around 6 hours of heat). Can I charge my phone? * Yes! Each dome has a battery pack light/fan complete with USB port to charge your items. They can go all night charging with the fan running and can be recharged in the house, indoor/outdoor dining area/or barbecue area at any time. Are they kid friendly/safe? * Absolutely! A couple of areas to use extra caution would be around any fires, heaters and the hot tub & creek. The creek can flow pretty quickly in the winter time. Can 4 people stay in a dome? * YES- if the additional ones are not both large grown ups. Web can provide a twin cot and the small couch is a lovely sleeping area as well. What’s the deal with utilities? * Glamp Defiance is intentionally designed to give folks the opportunity to experience off grid living with the grid literally just steps away. The domes are all self sufficient (cast iron cookware to cook over your own fire, outdoor fire pit, tea kettle, coffee and tea, many many rechargeable and battery operated light options, dishes, small cooler to store food, bottle opener…) but we also wanted folks to have access to a full kitchen (in the community house), a fully regular bathroom, a TV room, bathrooms with heat and hot water showers, and a three season porch, an indoor/outdoor dining and game area complete with heat, ceiling fan, and electrical amongst more offerings to ensure comfort at every turn. * The beds are luxurious- incredible sleep is so essential to a great vacation! They have amazing upscale mattress, bamboo bedding, so many blankets everywhere. * The bathrooms! The bathrooms are an awesome combination of modern and rustic. The three private bathrooms (the 4th is in the community house) all feature heated rain showers, modern and compostable toilets, vanity area, and hanging heaters. They are designed for privacy but with some open air at the top and a see through roof to take in the environment around you comfortably! * The field is a large, natural, and beautiful space for outdoor games, yoga, star gazing… It is a natural field, not a manicured one, so divots here and there exist. There are wildflowers in the summer, fruit trees for picking, hammocks, and a kids play area. * The kids play area is designed to be fully visible from both the outdoor covered barbecue area and the indoor/outdoor dining and game room to give parents the opportunity to relax and unwind while being able to keep an eye on them. Can we swim or fish in the creek? * The creek is meant to be respected and explored! It’s fairly shallow in some areas and a bit deeper in others. Walking around and playing in the creek is an absolute joy- just please respect the water and animals. It’s a salmon creek and get’s regular visits from otters as well. * Fishing on the property is currently under review. That being said we are so close to so many waterways and fishing holes!
