Settling & Spacious: Penwithe
Settling & Spacious: Penwithe
Description
Breathing space. At Penwithe you've access to most of the house, almost as if you've got it to yourself. And when you do need something Mark, your friendly host, will be happy to help. Watersports or outdoors enthusiast? There's room for your gear here. Healthy food, comfy bed? We’ve got you covered. Or simply relax with a book listening to the great British summer patter against the conservatory windows after sightseeing characterful Falmouth, only 12 minutes walk away. The space Your room – the master bedroom - is located upstairs and adjoins a smaller twin bedroom (which I don't tend to book out at the same time) so it's fairly private. It’s large with a sea view, en-suite bathroom, and plenty of storage space. There’s space to sit, do yoga (mat available), watch a movie on your laptop (etc.). Duvet, bed linen, extra blanket/cover, towels and tea-making facilities are all provided. On the ground floor there's a cosy, comfortable living room, another bathroom, dining room, kitchen, conservatory and rear garden, all free for you to use. Finally there’s my study - available by arrangement if you need a quiet work space, and another bedroom most likely occupied by me in the event the master bedroom is booked. There’s a good, fast (100+ MBps) wifi connection throughout the house. Guest access Master bedroom, hall, downstairs bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, conservatory, and garden. In the kitchen you’ve your own cupboard, fridge and freezer space. Breakfast: You’ll be provisioned with milk, muesli, fruit, bread, a variety of spreads, and of course tea and coffee, all for you to help yourself to. I’ve usually some home made kefir available and sometimes home made biscuits, maybe more at my discretion. During your stay I will be around most of the time and am available by phone when I'm not. Other things to note Penwithe is offered ‘semi self-catering’. I’m happy to provide all the shared areas for you to use as you want, and for you to come and go as you please, providing you look after it and agree to the house rules (please read them), whether I’m there or not. Usually I’ll be on hand to help should you need it. I’ll provide instructions or be on the end of a phone when I’m out or if I’m away. I simply ask guests to clear up after themselves (to leave places as found), and to let me know if they wish to make dinner so we can co-ordinate timings (I generally eat dinner - my only meal of the day - about 7.00pm so am using the kitchen from 6.00pm and finished with it by 8.00pm). If you'd like an evening meal cooked for you please let me know. I may be able to oblige (evening meals will be charged extra). Want to bring a pet? Please see House Rules. Only dogs allowed - one per booking. Want to watch TV? There is no TV in the room (most guests have little demand for one and tend to go out), but I do have one you can use in my study and will be adding one to the living room summer of 2024. I also have a 22 inch monitor and HDMI cable if you wish to watch something on your laptop. Guests can also borrow my Bluetooth speaker and digital radio. Regrettably, the design of the house means it’s not suitable for wheelchair users (sorry).
