Unique Historic Home in the Heart of Hill Country!
Unique Historic Home in the Heart of Hill Country!
Description
Come experience historic Castroville at its finest! Designed for quality-minded traveler(s), this one-of-a-kind 1849 homestead features original hardwood floors, a fireplace, 16' exposed ceilings, a courtyard, and a large walk-in shower with Italian tile. The home is walking distance to boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, hiking, and the Medina River. While committed to your comfort, we do have children and you'll likely hear noise at some point. We price the home accordingly. The space Your space is a large one bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed, fireplace, plenty of storage (wardrobe and dresser), mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee station. There is a dedicated workspace and private entrance, where you can enjoy the outdoor front porch space just outside your door. The attached master bath is truly glorious with 16' ceilings, a walk-in shower, European tile, laundry area, and plenty of hot water! Guest access Guests are welcome to use the courtyard after 6 pm. Other things to note While we are kid-friendly, the space is not yet equipped to support anyone other than two adult guests comfortably. You are welcome to bring one child but please note that you will need to provide an air mattress, pack-n-play, and so forth. With such additional gear, be warned that the otherwise spacious bedroom may be a bit cramped. Speaking of kiddos, we do have kids you might hear from time to time. We also have a small pup. While our place is not soundproof, it is generally quiet. There is a white noise machine available in the room to minimize any outside sound. The fireplace won't be available until late fall/early winter. However, we do have a fire pit outside you're welcome to use! Finally, we have a security system on the premises, but there are no cameras in the guest space. Rest assured your privacy is respected.
