Private Rustic Waterfront Oasis

Be our guest at one of Northern Ontario's most beautiful lakes! Located on a crystal clear, spring fed lake, our cabin sleeps up to 6 people. Our very private property is surrounded by trees, flower gardens, and a small waterfall bordering the edge. Outdoor amenities include an elevated deck, BBQ, two outdoor dining areas, sitting area, wood fired hot tub, fire pit, tree fort, zip line, swings, aluminum canoe, 10 foot kayak, 8 foot kayak, dock, frog habitat, and outhouse. The space Our modern farmhouse inspired cabin on McCarrel Lake offers a cozy living area where guests can play board games, enjoy a beverage, or cozy up by the wood stove with a good book. Approximately 1/4 of a cord of wood is included in the price of your booking. There are two main bedrooms which offer a queen bed each, and a third bedroom which has bunkbeds for two children. This "kids room" has a tv (no working channels) and DVD player, which guests can enjoy. This is also where we have the only window air conditioner. Please note, it only cools down the addition of the cabin (kids bedroom and quarter bathroom.) In our quaint kitchen, guests may access our refrigerator, microwave, toaster, convection toaster oven, portable stove top (two elements), coffee maker, and kettle. Please note, there is no oven, but pots and pans can be used on our plug in stove top. Our kitchen sink features cold, lake water only. There is a quarter bathroom with a vanity and working sink (also cold water only.) Please note there is no shower or indoor toilet. We offer recycling on site and provide toilet paper, paper towels, disposable (recyclable) dinnerware, cups, and flatware. Environmentally safe cleaning supplies are also available. Guest access Guests are welcome to use all amenities that are listed in the description. Clean, 100% cotton sheets and pillows will be provided however guests must bring their own blankets. Guests are also responsible for bringing their own food, cooking water, drinking water, coffee/tea/beverages, towels, fishing rods and supplies, and all other personal belongings needed. We have 5 adult life jackets (one large, two medium, and two small), as well as 6 child life jackets of various sizes. You are welcome to use our life jackets or bring your own. Other things to note We hope you enjoy our property as it is nature at its best! Please be sure to bring bug spray, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and supportive footwear as our terrain can be uneven in places. You will most likely see ducks, loons, frogs, toads, butterflies, dragonflies and various birds and other insects. Because a pond is located at the top of our waterfall, you might even see "Buddy", our beaver friend who tends to come down after dinner for his nightly swim!
