Surrounded by hiking trails, swimming holes, and the best winery in the valley, you’ll never want to leave! Backing onto a beautiful park and the Cowichan Valley Trail, this is the perfect rural getaway for you and your family (four-legged friends welcome, please see house rules.) Only a 7 min drive to downtown Duncan and within 30 mins of Shawnigan and Cowichan lakes and the ocean. The space This is a brand new, fully renovated, gorgeous three-bedroom home offering 1000 sq ft. of private indoor space to lounge, read or play boardgames by the wood burning stove (firewood is provided). We recommend bringing along cozy slippers for your stay as our tile floors can be chilly - that being said, please remove all shoes inside. There is also a large outdoor deck and propane fire pit if you wish to sit outside in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine or just listen to the crickets. There are no street lights, so you get great views of the stars and all the nature sounds you'd expect! You have your own fenced off area from the rest of the property, but your driveway is open to the road. There is a brand new heat pump providing air conditioning and heating throughout the unit. Guest access You have complete access to an entire fenced off area of the property but open to the road, separate gravel driveway and parking space. Come and go as you please and feel like you are staying in your own private home. The driveway is not gated and quite steep, please make sure you have an adequate vehicle, FWD will not make it up. Other things to note Please note, we do not offer cable, Netflix or other streaming networks. We provide a DVD player with an array of DVD choices - keeping in touch with a fun simpler time.
