Enjoy a new experience staying in our spacious, comfortable American Gulfstream RV. This is a novel destination an ideal base to explore the Isle of Skye or after finishing the NC 500. Located 5 miles after the Skye Bridge and 2 miles from Broadford. More space and comfort than a pod, this is good value, quality self catering accommodation for 2 in one bed. Bedroom with ensuite shower. WiFi, TV, heating. There is a fridge with ice box, microwave, electric mini oven with hob, kettle and toaster. The space Our place is in a peaceful position with great views and yet handy for the main road to pop into Broadford, explore the island or head for the bridge. The RV is very spacious, bright and comfortable for 2 guests, there is an open plan lounge area with kitchenette, separate bedroom and shower room. There is free parking. Some complimentary snacks are provided as a light breakfast. The RV is connected to the mains water, it is good Scottish water and is safe to drink. The hot water tank is smaller than a domestic one. Showers should be functional and not too long (3 or 4 minutes max). If you want to take long showers then please book somewhere else. The vast majority of our guests enjoy their stay. If you are lucky you may experience wind and rain and all of the new sounds that will bring. However, if you are worried or are a light sleeper, ear plugs are provided! I hold a Short Term Let licence with Highland Council, for a maximum of 2 guests in total. For guests without a car, there is a bus stop close by but the nearest amenities are 30 to 40 minutes walking and you may find the location too remote. For drivers, we are very easy to find but please make sure you read the instructions because if you just follow the satnav you will arrive at the wrong house. The easiest way is to do an internet search for Breakish Horse Accommodation on Maps, you will then have the exact location. Post code areas on Skye are large and not specific so SatNavs are of only limited use. Leaving bags before 3pm might be possible. The fee is £20. Guest access Check in is from 4PM until late. An earlier check-in is not always possible. Check-in time is stated in the welcome message after booking. Arrival before 3pm is not permitted. Guests arriving before this may be charged an early check-in fee of £25. Guests have the entire place to themselves. There is parking and a picnic table outside. The kitchenette has a fridge with ice box, electric mini oven with 2 hob rings. There's a microwave, toaster and kettle. Cutlery, plates, mugs and pans are provided along with the essentials, salt, pepper, oil, washing up liquid and tea towels. There is a heater in the lounge and another in the bedroom. Mains drinking water, shower and WC. Towels and basic toiletries are provided (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). The lounge area has a TV. Sheep and deer can sometimes be seen from the window eating my vegetable patch! A picnic bench outside completes this comfortable, spacious accommodation. I'm really sorry but we are only licensed for two guests so cannot accommodate any more (not even infants). Other things to note Please bear in mind that being a Recreational Vehicle (RV) the hot water tank is smaller than a domestic one, so showers should be short and sweet, functional rather than recreational! 3 or 4 minutes is fine. If you want to stand in the shower for 15 minutes then our place is not for you. Towels are provided. The toilet is used in the normal manner. The flush is on the side. Waste goes into a tank which we empty when you have gone. Being rural our property is on a septic tank so only toilet waste and paper is to be flushed. Other items such as tissues, hair, feminine products etc go into the bin provided. The vehicle remains stationary during your stay and cannot be driven. This will be your home during your stay so please respect it. Switch off appliances after use and make sure lights, cooker, heating etc are off when you go out. Departure is at 11am.
