Beautiful private bedroom/bathroom in Stamford

Private bedroom (with beautiful views into three different counties) and private bathroom for up to two people, one mile from Stamford town centre and close to the A1 for easy accessibility. The space We are located on the western edge of Stamford, conveniently close to the A1, very helpful for avoiding traffic toward the centre of town, whilst our triple glazing ensures you’ll still have a peaceful night’s sleep. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the town centre which is one mile away. We are happy to advise on local places of interest or country walks. You won’t want to miss Burghley House which is within walking distance, and we’d also recommend the historic Normanton Church at Rutland Water (a 10-minute drive away). You can download the '#ShopStamford' app which provides a handy guide for places to visit, where to shop, eat, relax, tourist information (e.g. toilets, car parking), maps, events, etc. Breakfast is not included but there is a kettle and selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate available in the room for you. We have an external security camera situated on the front of the house for additional security of any vehicles parked on the driveway. About Stamford: Stamford has a unique blend of history, niche shopping and stunning Georgian architecture – and won the supreme compliment from the Sunday Times newspaper as ‘Britain’s top place to live’ in 2013. Proclaimed by Sir Walter Scott as “the finest stone town in England”, it was declared a conservation area in 1967 and has over 600 listed buildings of mellow limestone including five medieval churches. There is a thriving high street with coffee shops, restaurants and a vast range of retailers to tempt you. Our main street market is on a Friday with a smaller Saturday market and once a fortnight there is a Farmers’ Market. The popular Town Trail takes you through Stamford exploring quaint passageways, main thoroughfares and market squares. Guided walks are also available with official guides. So whether the tranquil river walks, fine Georgian buildings or the more modern attractions captivate you, Stamford has something to charm everyone. Due to the flight of stairs providing access to the bedroom/bathroom, this stay is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. There is free parking available for one car on our private driveway (with electric vehicle charging available for a small additional fee). Free on-street parking is also available. Limited access to kitchen/living room generally, but you are welcome to use the microwave, toaster and/or fridge if you need to and we are more than happy to provide cutlery/plates etc. (e.g., if you were ordering a take away or wanted to prep your food here). Other things to note Please note: we have two friendly dogs (Mischa and Max) who will be kept out of your way (unless you would like to meet them!). Although the rooms are exceptionally clean, we would not advise staying here if you have a dog allergy.
