Surrounded by a centenary Ficus tree, in pure aeolian style, this cozy double room with private bathroom is just the perfect place to rest while exploring Sicily. The room is immersed in the ancient garden of Villa Calcagno Ruffo, just 5 minutes walking to the beautiful beach of San Giorgio. The space The room is equipped with a double bed/ two single beds, a small fridge, a small walk-in closet and a private bathroom with a shower. There is no air conditioning since the room, with its thick ancient walls, is very cool already. You will find a fan, just in case. The room has a private aeolian courtyard with the typical “bisoli” (benches). There is not a proper kitchen buy you will find everything you need to enjoy your breakfast, “aperitivo” and other cold dishes. Guest access All guests have access to the private garden and outdoor resting areas under the shade of our century-old trees. Palazzo Calcagno-Ruffo is located at kilometer 81 of State Road 113 Messina-Palermo and is easily accessible from the Patti highway exit, which is about 4 km away. We provide private outdoor parking for our guests right in front of the villa. The beach and the small town of San Giorgio di Gioiosa Marea are within easy walking distance. The nearest railway stations are San Giorgio and Patti. Other things to note The villa is surrounded by trees, so you'll likely encounter mosquitoes, flies, bees, lizards, geckos, and tiny spiders in the garden. We do our best to keep them away, but sometimes these "small visitors" may find their way into our apartments. If you have a serious phobia of such creatures, this may not be the right place for you...be advised!
