This Brooklin shorefront gem offers breathtaking coastal views from a peaceful, tree-surrounded spot. Airy, light-filled, 2014-built house has modern design and conveniences. Area has restaurants, art galleries, Wooden Boat School, and chamber music. As of 2021, the house has solar panels on the roof and a back-up battery (still a grid-tied system), a new wooden front entry porch with a railing, and a new garbage container in the driveway. The space The house has a screened-in porch facing sunset. The open kitchen/dining/living area has vaulted ceilings, windows on each side, sliding patio doors to the porch, and a circular window above to create abundant natural light. A spiral staircase under a skylight leads to the loft upstairs, which has a bedroom, reading and play area. Very well insulated, it doesn't get very hot or cold, but for chilly nights there portable electric heaters, a built-in wall heater in the bathroom and heated towel racks. For ventilation, there are two windows in the master bedroom, three in the kids' room, and a ceiling fan in the living area. There is a propane gas grill, a picnic table, a hammock, and three foldable, portable lawn chairs as well as chairs on the porch. The office has a desk, inkjet printer, a land line telephone with long distance service included, and a music stand. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining table has two leaves to accommodate a meal for 10. An 800' driveway sets the house back from the road, which is nice for kids playing outside. We also have a wooden high chair for babies with a removable tray. There are plenty of sheets, towels, bath towels, and blankets. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, but the cellar is off limits, as are the locked storage cupboards. The wood stove is NOT for guest use. Other things to note The two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom fit together to make a king bed, with an additional mattress topper and king sheets to make it comfortable.
