Description
The lake is located in Emmerich-Elten, directly on the Dutch border and is easily accessible via the A3. Two wooden cottages invite you to relax from everyday stress. Equipped with a fitted kitchen, living room with upholstered furniture and satellite TV, several sleeping options, shower/toilet, terrace overlooking the lake, barbecue and jetty, you can relax and swim wonderfully. The cottages can be rented individually or together. Use of the sauna garden can be booked on site. Guest access The Kiebitzsee Although only 25,000 square meters in size, the lake offers a surprisingly large number of different bird species a home. In addition to the mallards, gray geese, Canada geese and Nile geese, little grebes and great crested grebes, moorhens and coots regularly breed here. Regular visitors are herons, cormorants, kingfishers, oystercatchers, herring ducks and shovellers. Only very rarely do you see such unusual visitors as the red-breasted goose, white stork, oriole or purple heron. A similar diversity of species can also be found in the other bird groups: long-tailed tits, cuckoo, great spotted woodpecker, wryneck, nuthatch, winter goldfinch, thistle finch, wren, goldfinch, thorn grass, red-backed shrike, sparrowhawk, little owl and hawk are just a few examples. Fishing is not possible in the lake. Other things to note Your sauna garden To increase your vacation pleasure, we have newly created a sauna garden with barrel sauna, hot tub, shower and beach chair. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, we ask you to observe the following rules. For the use of the sauna garden, there is a one-time usage fee of €70, regardless of how often you use the sauna and hot tub. To start, we will show you how to use the sauna and hot tub. If both fishing huts are occupied by different families, please agree on the times of use with each other. The sauna and hot tub are heated with wood. We have filled a wheelbarrow with wood. This is free. Each additional wheelbarrow of wood costs €10 in the trust register. Before sweating, however, you have to sweat. You still need to bring the wood to the appropriate size for the stoves. An axe is available for this. Please do not use this wood for the campfire. This should only be fired with dead wood, which you will find on the property. For the pumps in the hot tub, the light and the water heater for the shower, you will find the FI switch and the respective fuses on the wooden wall. After use, you can simply switch everything off using the FI switch. Please remember this. Always close the gate between the fishermen's huts and the sauna garden. Sauna After each sauna use, remember to clean the benches and floor with water and clean the stove. The stairs to the lake can become slippery due to overlying leaves. Please clean them before use for your own safety. Hot tub After each change of visitors, we renew the water in the hot tub. Since a little sand or grass is always brought in, we have connected a sand filter with UVC clarifier. We do not use chlorine. After use, please remember to put the lid over the hot tub so that no leaves and insects fall into it. If the contamination is too great, contact us and we will renew the water. Please also think about cleaning the oven. Shower Please do not use shower gel, shampoo, soap or the like. The water is fed to the lake and would then pollute it. The same applies to the water in the hot tub. Privacy Have fun and relax at Kiebitzsee
