The Greenwood Residence sleeps 9 (11 with the option of two cots) with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of space to relax inside and out. The location includes a massive backyard with everything you need for the perfect vacation. The home has been updated with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. There is central heating and air conditioning, a smart tv for streaming all your favorite movies and shows, and numerous games, puzzles, children's toys, and books to entertain. Outside, you will find a covered front porch overlooking the pond, an outdoor dining area in the entertainment barn, a large backyard with a kids' playset and volleyball net, a basketball hoop, hammocks, a fire pit, a gas BBQ and a patio area with plenty of outdoor seating. When you aren’t relaxing in the backyard hammock, there is plenty to entertain just a short drive from the home. This residence sleeps nine and has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over two floors. Three bedrooms are upstairs and one downstairs. On the first floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, den, one bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry room. The living room is set up for spending time with loved ones with a wood stove, comfortable seating, a small wooden breakfast table, kids' toys, and a smart TV. The cozy den is the perfect place to snuggle up in a rocking chair or on the reclining couch and watch the fire in the evening. The den also houses books, games, a desk, and a mini-fridge. Bedroom 1 on the first floor is queen size with a twin daybed. The downstairs bathroom with a shower and tub is just across the hallway. Bedroom 1 is great for grandparents or others with limited mobility since it has step-free access to the house's shared living space. Please note: there is one step down to access the den. The dining room is set up for delicious family meals with a table for 8-10 guests. There is also a small wooden breakfast table in the living room that can double as the kids table. As you ascend the steps to the second floor, you will find Bedroom 2 with a full-sized bed. The upstairs full bathroom is across the hall. At the end of the hall, you will find Bedrooms 3 & 4, both adorable children's rooms, with two twin beds in each room and a table and mirror for getting ready for special events. Please note: all of the upstairs bedrooms share a full bathroom with a shower and tub. This house is in a GREAT location. It's perfectly situated to give you a variety of activities in close range. The nearby Shenandoah National Park features beautiful wilderness and camping. Skyline Drive boasts around 500 miles of hiking trails, hidden waterfalls, and swimming holes. Tubing or fishing down the James River, skiing at Wintergreen Resort, tennis or golf at Boars Head. You can also Visit local Orchards and farms for fresh produce or enjoy one of the 29 craft breweries, artisanal cideries, and distilleries. Guests have access to the whole house, outdoor entertainment barn, and outdoor spaces. Please note: there is a locked owners' closet inside the downstairs bathroom as well as a locked storage basement. Set in the quaint rural neighborhood of Greenwood, just outside of Crozet, Virginia. We are located close to the intersection of Route 250 and Interstate 64 making it extremely accessible to local attractions. The Greenwood Gourmet Grocery is just across the street. They serve made-to-order sandwiches and deli items to go as well as stocking an abundance of local products. We recommend having your own vehicle for your stay. Charlottesville is only a 20 minute drive away. We are surrounded by breweries, cideries, and wineries. About 10 minutes drive to the northernmost tip of the Blue Ridge Parkway and the southernmost tip of Shenandoah National Park's Skyline Drive which both offer excellent hiking and roadside overlooks with views. Wintergreen Resort is about a 45 minute drive with winter snow sports and the spa. Fly into CHO (22 miles or 30 minutes), RIC (93 miles or 1.5hrs), or SHD (38 miles or 40 minutes). In the morning, make local coffee in the drip coffee maker or Keurig or a cup of tea with the electric kettle. We also provide yoga mats and small hand weights for those feeling motivated.
