Description

Welcome to eclectic South Austin! We love our modern Bungalow. It is located only 6 miles from downtown & 4 miles from both the trendy Soco&Sola bars/restaurants. Our home is perfect for anyone that wants to experience all that Austin has to offer. City of Austin regulations for (STR) requires us to collect an additional 11% fee in taxes for the stay per night upon check in. The fee is separate from the total you will get from airbnb. See other details section of my listing for more details. The space Cozy bungalow style family home in cool South Central Austin. As a family of 7 - we have a fun, family centered home. We have wireless WIFI and an Xbox one with a 50" flat screen in our media room, as well as a 46" flat screen television in our family room to offer our guests. The kitchen is well stocked so please make yourself at home. Our neighbors are very friendly, you'll feel like you're in Mayberry...okay, Pleasantville...regardless, you'll like our neighborhood. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 1 study, 1 media room and a large game room/family room. The sleeping options are: Master bedroom: King size bed Second bedroom: A custom built hanging style bunk bed along with one extra long twin for a total of 3 twin beds. This room sleeps 3 people. Third bedroom: Twin bunk beds. Game room: Has a small ping pong table that can be fun to utilize. Media Room: Can sleep two on our queen sized leather sofa sleeper. Downstairs office: Has a leather Euro lounger that converts to a futon like sleeping surface (double) for one. We also have an additional couch available for sleeping downstairs in our family room. Master Bath has stand up shower, large counter space with two sinks, a separate tub and a private water closet. There is one additional full bath/shower upstairs, and 1 half bath downstairs. We have a tank less water heater so multiple people taking showers is no problem... there is plenty of hot water to go around for all of our guests. We also have 4 work space options that will accommodate 4 laptops that can link into our wireless WIFI network which is great for our guests that come to SXSW to work and play. Austin is a great city. We love living here. We're confident you'll enjoy your few days in our home and our city. Tambien hablo Espanol! Guest access Please feel free to enjoy our back patio space, gas grill, and backyard. We now have a bean bag/washers game you can play while hanging out outdoors and we just ask that you keep track of the 8 bean bags so that it doesn't get lost in the backyard. We want to continue to enjoy playing the game when we return home. (Believe me this is a full time job for us to do with 5 kids running around the yard). Finally, we even have fun outdoor hanging lights you can plug in to create a festive atmosphere. We just ask that you move indoors and shut off festive outdoor lights after 10:30 pm to stay in compliance with the city of Austin noise ordinance and for our neighbors who live on either side of us since their bedrooms face the yard. We need to keep them happy since they are generally easy going. Other things to note Taxes: A new city ordinance went into effect on Jan 1, 2014 which now requires all Short Term Rental (STR) owners to register with the city and pay a 15% tax rate per night just like a normal hotel would charge. Airbnb is now set up to accommodate the 6% state tax required of owners, but is not set up to collect the 11% city of Austin tax fee (latest increase went into effect Aug 29, 2019), therefore will be collected upon check in. I know you probably don't need an explanation but we want you to know the reason we do not roll this 11 % tax in to our price per night is then we would have to pay even more on taxes because the city collects taxes based on the room fee per night, the 3 % fee that airbnb charges us to use their site, and our cleaning fee. STR license is displayed on our fridge. Please no commercial use unless agreed upon by owner.
