Ocean Park -One Block to Beach- Triple Room #20

Surrounded by charming cottages in the idyllic seaside community of Ocean Park, this historic 1880’s guest house sits on the town square Single, one block from the beach and steps away from the soda fountain, bakery, restaurant, shuffleboard, tennis courts, and library. Accommodations are clean and comfortable yet modest, and so are the prices. Step back in time in this lovely house that has been offering an ideal location along with a unique communal living experience for generations. The space The Curtis is a large guesthouse with 20 bedrooms located on the second and third floors. The bedroom floors also have a sitting room with cable TV in the second floor sitting room. Each of these floors has shared bathroom facilities with lavatories being gender designated. On the main floor there is a large country kitchen, two dining rooms, a large parlor and two large wraparound porches with one of them being screened. This private corner bedroom is on the third floor with one full-size bed, one twin bed, a bureau, mirror, a chair and ceiling fan. It is located in the southwest end of the building with two windows facing Temple Avenue, overlooking the library and Furber Park and one window facing West Grand Avenue which can be noisy when trucks or motorcycles drive by. Old Orchard also has a train that passes a mile away and can be heard from this side of the building. Guest access All common spaces are shared with me and other guests. There is plenty of space for everyone. All guests have designated space in one of three large refrigerators and access to a microwave oven, toasters, toaster oven and free morning coffee or tea, regardless of how many nights they stay. Guests who stay 4 nights or longer also have access to the gas cooktop and an outdoor gas grill. Washer and dryer is for STAFF USE ONLY. Laundry facilities are available 1/2 mile away. There is a Backyard Clothesline for wet towels and bathing suits. Guests are encouraged to use the Outdoor shower and Rear stairway after the beach. Please do not use the front stairs when returning from the beach. During your stay The Curtis is a seasonal guesthouse and I reside here all season.
