Guesthouse in Richmond
Description
Our 112-year-old carriage house has been thoughtfully updated to include modern amenities while maintaining the charm of the original structure. We are within walking distance of hundreds of local eateries, several parks, the James River park system, The Virginia Museum, and plenty of boutique shopping. There is no better location if you want to relax in comfort, consume your way through renowned restaurants & breweries, and immerse yourself in city living. The space Our property is distinctive, as we maintained the charm of the original structure while giving it a more contemporary look showcasing brick interior walls and exposed beams. The bedroom (king) is located up the original steep staircase in the considerable loft. Should you need to work on holiday there is a desk; we also salvaged the original upper barn door and installed a large picture window overlooking the side street. Downstairs you will find a modest bathroom, small refrigerator, kitchen sink, coffee maker (with coffee, sugar) and the original water trough the horses used (now a bench)! There is a small table for dining, a cozy sofa, and a buddha chair ready for a Netflix evening. One of the most unique interior features is a hidden glass wall and door onto the side street, which boasts beautiful light while open. When it’s time for bed it’s also time to close the carriage house doors and no one knows of the secret within once closed. Your main access to this adorable space is through a lovely tropical lighted garden shared with the homeowners. There are lounge chairs outside for your use as well. Guest access Guests will enter the carriage house through the side garden entrance to the home. The garden may be a shared space during your stay as our pets like to sun in the backyard and we will need to maintain our beautiful tropical garden. Registration Details 100539-2022
