Matsi cottage

Matsi farm is located on the outskirts of Igaküla clustered village amongst the fields of junipers, millions of meadow blossoms, and heady fresh air. The time rests here and so will You! It is an old classic Muhu farm. In the cold season, you can enjoy the wood-burning stove. Matsi cottage has been especially loved by dozens of families, naturalists, artists, and other creative souls.IG @muhuelu The space The house accommodates 5 guests and there’s room for 2 additional beds for an extra fee. The house has a toilet, a shower, a large dining room with all the usual dishes and accessories for fine dining. There is a stone part of the house, which you can use, but there is no additional heating. Guest access The entire territory is at guests' disposal. In the cold season, it should be taken into account that there is no additional heating in the stone part of the house. Other things to note Outdoors Freedom, beauty, and nature! There are also garden tables and chairs, berry bushes, apple trees and farm flowers. Please be aware that during the dry season barbecue is not allowed. You can also rent a sauna, which is in a separate log house and has a shower, warm water, and a WC. The sauna has a small terrace facing the sunset. There are also 2 log houses near Matsi Cottage: Aasa house designed in retro style and Uno house in minimalistic refined style. Both accommodate 2 people. Caravans are welcome, but notice that the log houses, sauna and a spot for a caravan must be booked in advance. About us Muhu elu oü (Muhu Life private limited company) is a small family enterprise. The house was built in the 1920’s, renovated in the early years after the restoration of independence and has been repaired with love. Igaküla is a clustered village, but Matsi Cottage is located out of the village centre across the road. You can wander across the farm territory in all directions without meeting a soul. Above all, we value and admire our wonderful nature, clean food, unique indigenous culture, traditions, authenticity, and beauty. We thrive to embrace the principles of conscious self-managing, clean and healthy lifestyle, recycling and blue economy in our lives and business. Dear guest, Please keep in mind, that even though we do everything to keep your house clean and comfortable, we are surrounded by biodiversity – all the insects, beetles, spiders, vipers, slow worms, birds, and other wildlife have been residing here for tens of thousands of years and are a sign that there’s still hope for our planet. So, there’s a chance that some of them might pass through our yard minding their everyday business and the most curious ones might explore the inside of the house as well. If it happens, say ‘hello’, admire them and lead them outside or call the hosts who will do it for you gladly.
