Built with Green in mind, the Lucky Pig is a quiet retreat in the middle of everything the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore has to offer. Wake up in a bright and cheery bedroom, come downstairs for coffee and relax on the front porch or back patio. The downstairs basement offers a space for children to hangout. Upstairs: Queen in master; 3 twins in bunk room. Home is best suited for parties of four or less. Main floor: living room, bath and kitchen Walk out basement: TV room, Sectional couch, Washer and Dryer, game table Beach chairs, outdoor shower, grill, internet access, fully equipped kitchen, new appliances, fire ring, gardens. In National Park: Hiking, kayaking, dune climbing, geocaching, swimming, boating/sailing. Winter activities include snow shoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, skating, sledding, and more. The New Neighborhood was designed with "neighbors" in mind. Sidewalk, front porches, rear alleys for parking, and common area make this unique neighborhood home to about 30 families. Directly across from the National Park Service headquarters. Bike and walk to beach and town. No public transportation. Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (bike, blade, hike, run) from Empire to Glen Arbor and on to Pt Oneida. If you've never been to SBNL, you are in for a treat. The Lucky Pig is located in the New Neighborhood, a developing neighborhood with unique homes. Kayaking, wineries, hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, antiquing, camping, Manitou Island, climb the dunes, picnics. Summer rental by the week only from Saturday 3:00 p.m. to Saturday at 10:00 a.m. June to September. Cable TV is not available. Reliable Wifi is available. EXTRA OVERNIGHT VISITORS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Reservations are approved based on headcount at time of reservation. Please, No exceptions. THERE ARE NO CURTAINS ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE BATHROOM IS LOCATED ON THE FIRST FLOOR.
