The space This country manor farmhouse combines classic original details like hand hewn barn beams, wide plank floors, a gracious front porch and a massive wrap around back deck with the modern conveniences of 2.5 luxurious new baths, and a huge open chef's kitchen. Owned by a former chef, the kitchen is equipped with a 6 burner Aga which includes two ovens and a broiler, a spacious walk-in pantry and new high-end appliances, There is an easy to use, built in, outdoor grill adjacent to a table and chairs for sunset dining and a built in fire pit offers late night relaxation. The living and dining room, which flow seamlessly into each other, are divided by the majestic wood beams, and the shelves host a personal collection of vintage world globes. Embellished with vintage advertising signs and memorabilia, the comfortable living room has a wood burning fireplace in the winter months. The entire house is air conditioned and heated for your comfort. In the winter the house will be warm upon your arrival. The media room, also decorated with vintage collectables is in the basement. It has 50" Smart TV with Cable and access to HBO, Netfilx and many other stations. Last but not least, the three bedrooms are spacious and charming with comfortable beds, closet space, A/C and charming vintage touches. This inviting house is ideal for a special occasion, weekend away from the stress of city life, a family get-together, a group of friends, romantic weekends or anyone looking for a quiet tranquil getaway less than 2 hours from NYC (GWB). Other things to note You will find many brochures in the house manual which include all kinds of adventures and interesting things to do. The farmhouse is located three and a half miles from the Delaware River--with rafting, tubing, canoeing and swimming. Provided are 4 pairs of flip flops and 4 pairs of aqua socks as well as a blanket & sheet, a complete picnic set-up (in a backpack) and 6 beach towels. Lake Superior State Park is 10 miles away and has a wonderful sandy beach. There is a day charge of $5. If you prefer to cool off in a pool, you are only a couple of minutes away from a large private pool where, for a small fee, you can spend the day. Hiking trails are near and far and often take you to the tops of mountains with marvelous views of the Delaware. Adorable towns are scattered all over the Catskills. Enjoy the music and art scene at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (where Woodstock Festival was held) with concerts every weekend and events throughout the summer and fall--and only 20 minutes away. Pack a picnic and listen to some great music. Narrowsburg is a pretty country drive--just 20 minutes from the farmhouse. If you fancy antiquing, both Hawley and Milford Pa. are under a 40 minute drive. However, if you prefer quieter pursuits, the Kadampa Meditation Center is only 15 minutes from the farmhouse with classes and meditations daily. Namaste Lastly, if you've come up for a wedding, the house is a little over a mile from the Floating Farmhouse and and 7 miles from Mountainview Manor and a number of other wedding venues. There is a security camera which films vehicles coming down the long driveway. Farmer's Markets start selling local organic produce starting in Mid May. Barryville is the closest one--4 miles away. Narrowsburg is starting it's first Farmer's Market this year-- 13 miles away.
