Description

This unique studio lies four miles inland from Dillon Beach, near Sonoma wine country and its staggeringly beautiful coastline and beaches. The bucolic one-acre parcel is home to deer, wild turkey, rabbits and many species of birds, who come to the many fruit and cypress trees on the property. The studio is charming and cozy with queen-sized bed, electric fireplace and windows with views on three sides. The private deck and windowed gazebo provide a most beautiful place to eat, read or relax. The space The building is the original stable for the 100-year-old Estero Schoolhouse. Natural wood throughout with French windows, bamboo floors, full tile kitchen. The compact tiled bathroom includes shower, toilet and sink. This is a perfect writer's retreat or for anyone enjoying the beaches, towns, vineyards, or the many natural wonders of West Marin and Sonoma County. Park your car 15 feet from the front door. See families of cows just six feet across the fence from your dining table. The studio shares the same acre and lies about 100 feet away from the main schoolhouse. The studio residents have exclusive use of the adjoining cedar deck and gazebo, its own south-facing brick patio, the rear 1/2 acre of the property, which is filled with trees and meadow grass. The adjoining gazebo has a dining table and relaxing furniture for reading, relaxing or beautiful, nature-framed social time. This is the perfect place to view our deer, rabbits, cows and wild turkeys searching for food or fluttering up to their nexts at dusk. The schoolhouse, which sleeps up to six, is also available either separately or with the studio through AirB&B. Renting both listings together is recommended for those with larger parties, or for those who require more privacy. Close to local wineries and breweries, or hike and kayak at Point Reyes national seashore! Enjoy exploring Bodega Bay, Dillon Beach, and the redwood forests 15 minutes away. So many have found this to be the perfect romantic, creative or natural getaway. Enjoy quality time with your travel companion or alone in this bucolic setting. PET POLICY : We are a dog-friendly location, but for the peace and comfort of all our current and future guests, our resident wildlife, and our peace-loving neighbors, we have developed the following six rules: 1..All pets must be declared in advance. 2. Dogs are not allowed to run freely, unsupervised on the property, or to chase any of our local wildlife. 3. Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended on the property at any time. 4. Dogs are not allowed on the bed(s) at any time. 5. Dogs are not allowed on couches without guest-provided cover, which covers couches completely 6. Dogs are not allowed to bark continuously, and disturb others. 7. Poop droppings must be collected and placed in the green recycling bin near the front gate. 8. Please note that while there is a fence surrounding the property, this is not a fenced in pet location where your pet can be left unsupervised and run free on the property. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the studio, the adjoining gazebo, deck, BBQ area as well as the private, south-facing bricked patio off the studio. Dogs must be under supervision when outside the studio and cannot go onto neighbors property. We are not offering anenclosed space, and it is not possible for guests to confine their pets by closing gates etc. Other things to note There's something special about this West Marin area, from its stunning natural beauty, rich agricultural heritage, phenomenal local food, and unrivaled recreation, there are endless opportunities to see, taste, and explore. Please note that nothing should be put in toilet except toilet paper and human waste. Also note this is a rural location and a nature sanctuary, so those with zero bug tolerance should perhaps avoid this wooded bucolic acre. CELL PHONE SERVICE: Our closest cell phone tower carries T-Mobile, so T-MOBILE guests should have good service inside the unit. For those with Verizon or AT&T, or some other, there is some (spotty) reception in the driveway, where you first enter the property. PETS: Bring your own dog food and water bowls and bedding There is a $50 fee per pet per stay. If you would like to bring more than one pet, you must check first with owner. We are happy for guests to bring their pets with prior notification. However, for the comfort of future guests and for hygiene (fleas, ticks, hair ands bodily fluids) animals are not allowed on our couches without providing your own cover, and they are not allowed on any bed. Extra charges will apply if this occurs. Please bring beds for your dog(s) and use them exclusively. Please check your belongings before you leave! Please be advised there is a $50 fee for any left items that require being returned.
