Red Sky Ranch, decorated for Christmas, offers a charming, peaceful farm cottage next to an 8-stall horse barn and 7 paddocks. Get away from the city and enjoy a quiet, serene environment! For those with horses, our facility includes stall shavings, a wash bay, jump fields, a tack room, free WiFi, and more, all situated on a 22-acre horse farm (boarding priced separately). Red Sky Ranch is a 22-acre equestrian property on a road of similar-sized horse farms. What you may not find on our property, you can get from many of our neighbors (arena access, training). If you don’t have horses, don’t worry – we still love having guests that just need a quiet, peaceful place to stay. Our cottage is situated toward the back of our farm and is surrounded by large, old oak trees and a landscape of green paddocks. We offer so much more than what you will find at a hotel, including your favorite soda in the fridge, a pet-friendly environment, a full kitchen, privacy, your own laundry area, and baby/toddler items by request. The cottage is 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and is newly renovated with everything you could possibly want in a living space. Enjoy a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, range with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, basic cookware, dishware, flatware, and glassware. The dining room seats 4, and we can supply you with a highchair upon request. The bathroom features a double vanity, a white tiled shower bath, and a brand-new blow dryer equipped with a concentrator and diffuser. The bedroom includes a King-sized bed with a large walk-in closet, a nightstand with a lamp, a large dresser with a mirror and plenty of drawers, a luggage rack, and a cordless Dyson vacuum hung on the wall for easy clean-up if need be. In the living room, you’ll find a leather couch and custom leather armchair, smart HD television with all the streaming apps you need (you’ll need to enter your own login information), and a few 2-player games including Farkle, Rummikub, and Hive. We also have a DVD player and a massive collection of DVDs if you’re interested in browsing. The cottage and horse barn area has standard Wi-Fi available that covers a wide distance using the eero Wi-Fi extender system. The actual modem can be found in the tack room if needed. Onsite laundry is available – the washing machine and dryer are located in the tack room, which is the first door on the left of the horse barn (right in front of the cottage – a stone’s throw away). We also provide you with all the essentials, including dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. If you forgot toiletries, we have back-ups for you, including toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our facility is pet-friendly and baby/child friendly. We have three small children of our own and can likely provide you with anything you might need to make your stay a little easier, including a baby bouncer, highchair, pack-and-play, or toys. Just let us know in advance and we’ll confirm if we can accommodate that (and lighten up that trunk space a bit!). Mamas – the walk-in closet has plenty of room for that pack-and-play if you need a quiet, dark place for baby. We have hired a professional cleaning service to ensure each and every guest enjoys a fresh, clean space and never has to worry about long cleaning checklists upon checkout. Your only responsibility is to have a great time (and start the dishwasher before you go if you can!). We also have The Bug Doctor come out once a month to spray for bugs and spiders. Please note that we are in the country, and even with regular spraying, you may come across the occasional wolf spider. These are harmless, but we provide spray in the cottage just in case. For those bringing horses: all boarding, whether stall or pasture, is self-care. Dry stall boarding includes shavings. Enjoy our wash bay, tack room, office and bathroom, jump fields, and more. We also have 3 RV hook-ups available if needed. RV hook-up and boarding are priced separately – send us a message and we can check availability. Our facility is 18 miles from HITS and 16 miles from the World Equestrian Center. We have several neighbors who offer training services – we can give you their information if you’d like. We have three kiddos under age 6 and are waiting for the right timing to bring in new family members :) So please know that if you are not bringing your own horses, there may not be horses on our farm or in our barn. All of our neighbors have horses, but I don't want you to be disappointed if that's what you were expecting. ----- Rules of the Ranch: 1) If you are renting a dry stall, please strip it prior to your departure. 2) To maintain the facilities and keep things clean for future boarders, please extend common courtesy by cleaning up after yourself and placing manure in the proper place. 3) Use of heavy farm equipment is strictly prohibited. 4) You are welcome to utilize any of the fields on Red Sky Ranch except for the fenced-in area surrounding the main house.
