Venture is close to the beach, trails, parks, marsh land preserve, bird watching, organic farms, great local eateries. You will love the beautiful setting along the creek, big hot tub & pool, cozy feel, beautiful views. It's fun to cook in the kitchen on our big 8 burner gas stove, griddle and double oven. We have 2 dishwashers for quicker cleanup, 3 refrigerators, extra counter space, large dining room, large living room, big stone fireplace if it isn’t a spare the air day or wildfire danger. Take in the outdoors while staying in our Main Lodge at this serene nature retreat. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT OUR CENTER IS RUSTIC AND NOT PRISTINE. This place is for people who enjoy the outdoors, yet not for people who are looking for luxury accommodations.Enjoy time on the sun deck, in the pool, hot tub, play field games in our meadow, sit around the fire circle (when no “wildfire fire danger,” and no “Spare The Air” Day). Relax in the shade of our backyard and stroll down our dirt road, or enjoy a few hours at the beach, or hike in a nearby redwood park, or visit the tide pools at Pigeon Point Light House, or a walk along the marsh near Pescadero Beach. Try to unplug for your daily routines and stress. The price listed in our ad is for up to 15 people. Any extra people will be charged $70 per person per night, except for infants who don’t need their own bed. There are 5 bedrooms with 19 twin beds (some are bunks) and 4 queen beds. Along with the Main Lodge, you can add our cute & cozy Nasturtium Wood Cabins in our backyard. Each cabin has a a full size bed as well as a twin, so each cabin sleeps 1-3 people. The cabins are furnished with a night stand, a lamp and a space heater, and one of the cabins has a mini fridge and the other has a desk and chair. If you’d like to add these two cabins, they are $475 a night on Friday or Saturday night, or Sunday for $435 and $395 a night on weeknights (Monday-Thursday). The two cabins share a wall with an adjoining door between them. And they also have separate entrances at the top of a short stairway. You may be able to add our Majestic Tent Cabin for $295 on Friday or Saturday, or Sunday night for $275, or $255 Monday through Thursday. This is more of a "Glamping" experience with a unique, eclectic and elegant style. A very lovely and romantic place to stay. $70 per person, per night for additional guests. Our 27 foot Serenity Yurt is available as an add on for meeting/gathering space for $600 a night Friday or Saturday nights, $535 Sunday or $475 (Monday-Thursday) nights. There is a long sectional sofa, small futon, twin day bed which converts into a king bed, a few chairs and end tables, floor pillows, along with two mini refrigerators, and wood burning stove. Cots are available for $40 each if needed. If bedding is needed as well the cots with bedding will be $75 each. Please inquire within for more information. It can be used for meetings, workshops, yoga, dance, and other types of classes as well for an hourly rate if needed. Extra hourly charge if needing us to remove any furniture. It can also be rented by it self. Camping is allowed for any of the 15 guests, but please make arrangements with the host, Janelle. $70 - per person per night in the lodge or cabins or camping for additional people, if you want to have more than 15 people. Check-in 3:00pm. Checkout 11:00am. Check-in and check-out times might be negotiable upon calendar availability, and with additional charge. Day-use only/ Non overnight Rates (ADD-ON) visitors with current group are: $30 per person for weekdays (Monday - Thursday) and $35 per person for weekend days (Friday - Sunday) plus extra charges for blocking the night before or after your day use depending on your requested rental times. Holiday and High Season Rates: 15% additional charge applies to all holidays and holiday weekends. Guests are responsible for the following prior to check-out: Cleaning the kitchen (all dishes are cleaned and put back to their original places, all counter tops and surfaces cleaned, all appliances put back to their original homes). Returning all furniture and interior decorations to their original positions Picking up trash, both inside and outside, and placing it in receptacles in the kitchen or place garbage bags in the extra cans provided outside, under the kitchen window. Place used towels in the bathrooms in a pile, and for bedding, please fold sheets and blankets down halfway on the beds that were used. Guests will be able to enjoy most of the Retreat Center property except for Staff Quarters which are located behind the fenced area. A few simple guidelines help us keep our rates reasonable and the retreat center clean and in good condition: -No pets allowed at Venture unless we pre-approve your pet. Wildlife is abundant at Venture Retreat. Bobcats, coyote, deer, raccoons and over 100 species of birds have all been observed within sight of the lodge. There is poison oak, nettles, ticks and snakes in the area as well as a couple sightings of mountain lions. -Pets may be permitted with permission from Venture. **$35 per day per pet fee**— wildlife is abundant at Venture. Bobcats, coyotes, deer, raccoons and over 100 species of birds have all been observed within sight of the Main Lodge. For their protection, the protection of your pets and out of consideration for other guests, pets are allowed on the property on a limited basis. Please inquire with management before bringing your pet, to request permission. PET AGREEMENT: I agree that my pet is strictly my responsibility. I will keep my pet/s leashed when outdoors. I agree to clean up after my pet and properly dispose of any pet waste. My pet is free of fleas and ticks, and fully up to date on his/her vaccinations. I understand that my pet is not allowed on the furniture (beds, sofas, etc). I take full responsibility for any damages that occur from bringing my pet on-site. Thank you. -Please keep plants intact and keep flower picking to a minimum. All plants inside the pool fence should be left alone and for the enjoyment of our guests. But if you feel so inclined, we'd welcome weeding in exchange for some of the chard, mint, fruit, or whatever else is growing in our cute little vegetable garden. And don't forget to say hello to the chickens. They love organic produce trimmings that you would normally discard. Please be sure to keep the gate closed behind you when you go in and out of the coop. They do enjoy a visit with good conversation and they especially love it if you turn over some logs and rocks to expose bugs and worms for them to munch on. I may or may not be around during your stay but we do have other staff members on site that will be there to help you get settled in and be available if you need anything.
