The expansive fieldstone terrace in the rear, surrounded by handsome perennial gardens, has an unparalleled view of Mount Equinox and is a delightful place for rest or entertaining. Mount Pleasant has easy access to the famed Battenkill River and Roaring Branch with 3 historic covered bridges, fantastic trout fishing, and easy summertime leisure float-tubing just a few miles away. Two minutes east lies the Kelly Stand entrance to the Green Mountain National Forest with its 400,000 acres of forest, hills, ponds, trails, and vistas available to the public for hiking, biking, and swimming. The charming village of East Arlington, featuring a historic, picturesque waterfall alongside the former homestead of Remember Baker of the Green Mountain Boys, lies just below Mount Pleasant.
