YOUR PRIVATE ROOM (16.5 sqm) Bright, quiet, and the perfect retreat after a long day. It is located on the 4th floor. Your room can be locked separately. Large desk right by the window - ideal for working on your laptop. Smart TV and fast WiFi for relaxing evenings. Large, open wardrobe (without doors). THE BED You'll sleep in a large king-size bed with two single mattresses. One side is softer, the other is firmer - just pick your favorite side! IMPORTANT: The bed is built very low to the ground. It is super cozy, but good to know beforehand. SHARED AREAS BATHROOM: We share a clean bathroom with a shower. Cool extra: There is a smart speaker above the shower for music via "Hey Google". You have your own small compartment for your things (toothbrush, etc.). Washer and dryer can be used - especially handy for long-term guests! IMPORTANT NOTE: NO KITCHEN Please note that there is NO kitchen, no fridge, and no cooking facilities in the accommodation. Cooking in the room is strictly prohibited. LOCATION & AMENITIES Large supermarkets, a discount store, and a drugstore are only 20 meters from the entrance. You can get fresh bread rolls or meals in seconds. There are takeaways/fast food spots nearby (most close around 9 PM, except for one at the market square). PUBLIC TRANSPORT Voerde train station is only 350 meters away. During normal operation (when there are no rail replacement services), you have a convenient direct connection to all these destinations without changing trains: Duisburg Central Station (approx. 30 minutes) Düsseldorf Central Station (approx. 45 minutes) Cologne Central Station (approx. 90 minutes) Arnhem in the Netherlands Guest access You have full access to: Your private, lockable room. The shared bathroom (including shower, washer, and dryer). No access: There is no access to a kitchen, as there isn't one. My private living areas are also not part of the booking. During your stay COMMUNICATION Please message me anytime via the Airbnb app. I always have the app notifications on loud and usually respond immediately. IMPORTANT: Please do not knock on my room door. Communication is exclusively via the app! IN ABSOLUTE EMERGENCIES If I don't answer in the app during an emergency (which is very unusual), you can call me. My phone is on silent at night. In a real emergency, you must call 3 times within 15 minutes so that the phone bypasses the silent mode and rings out loud. Other things to note OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING STAIRS & LUGGAGE The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. However, I am very happy to help you carry your luggage when you arrive! ROOM & QUIETNESS The room is extremely quiet. Thanks to the roller blinds, it can be completely darkened - perfect for sleeping in. I live alone (but occasionally have visitors). Since I work a lot, I am mostly only home to sleep. You will have a lot of peace and quiet and will barely see me. HEATING & ROOM ENTRY (IMPORTANT) Please heat responsibly! I monitor the temperature via an app. If the heating is running excessively high or the window is left open while heating, I reserve the right to enter the room with my spare key to close the window or adjust the heating. A QUICK REMINDER NO KITCHEN: There is no fridge and no cooking facilities. Cooking in the room is strictly forbidden. LOW BED: The king-size bed is built very low to the ground.
