North Moorings - Braunton

North Moorings is a recently renovated, light and airy property which perfectly combines indoor-outdoor living. Just a 5 minute drive from some of Britain’s most beautiful and renowned surf beaches and a short stroll from fantastic pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. An ideal base for an easy family holiday on North Devon's beautiful coastline. The space North Moorings has been designed for easy living. We are an Australian/English family and have renovated our home to make the most of these two influences and reflect the way we like to live. The downstairs kitchen/dining/living area is spacious and open-plan with bi-fold doors leading onto a decked area and beyond that a lawned garden with a patio BBQ area and a trampoline. This year, we are also hoping to add a table-tennis table and a hammock to the garden area. Downstairs there is also a useful porch, a shower room, a laundry area and a playroom. There are lots of books, toys and board games to keep everyone busy on non-beach days. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom. The main bedroom has a king size double bed. In the second bedroom, there is a double bed with a single bunk above. The third bedroom has a single high-sleeper bed with an additional single mattress below and is probably best suited to sleep two children (however the mattresses are full-sized singles should adults wish to sleep in this room). Outside, the back garden is fully enclosed, with side access linking to the front garden and driveway (with off-street parking for two vehicles). You will have access to a BBQ, fire pit and outdoor side-shed which provides useful storage for your surfboards and beach accessories. You’ll also find an outdoor tap for rinsing off wetsuits and wellies after beach adventures. Infants under two years of age are welcome at the property but please note that stair-gates have now been removed as our youngest child no longer needs them. We have one highchair (suitable for a toddler) but you will need to bring your own carry cot if required during your stay. Guest access Guests will have use of the entire property and garden. We recommend that use of the trampoline is always supervised by an adult as we cannot accept liability for accidents should they occur during your stay. This is our family home but during your stay we would love you to treat it as your own and we’d be very appreciative if you could respect and look after it accordingly. Other things to note No towels provided. Please bring your own Friday - Friday bookings only during summer.
