Bird Nest Cabin is located 2/10 of a mile off highway 21 in the historic community of Kingston (Madison County), which is on a popular travel route to the Buffalo National River, Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch, Red Star (mountain biking, June Bug Jam), Sweden Creek Water fall trail, Hawksbill Crag trail, Glory Hole water fall, Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, Jasper, Elk watching, Steel Creek and much more. It's also a popular destination for cyclists during Bikes, Blues and BBQ festival. Kingston Music on the Square and Fair on the Square are also popular days in Kingston. Dining nearby includes Kingston Station Grill, Waldron Valley Cafe on the Kingston Square, and Sugar Boogers BBQ & Beer 7 miles north, Kings River store in Marble, Granny's Kitchen 26 mins away in Huntsville, Low Gap Cafe and Ozark Cafe in Jasper. As is typical of rural Ozarks roads, it includes a hill and bumps, but any automobile should make it fine. Just take it slow. No public transportation in Kingston. The hot water tank holds 20 gallons. This should support two quick-ish showers. If the first guest in your party takes a long, leisurely shower, the next person might want to wait a few minutes to let the tank reheat. Well behaved and flea free pets are welcome.
